A charming, elegant town with a lively centre and a huge port. Fascinating old port, and fort well-presented and interesting to visit. Current heartbreaking exhibition re Corsican resistance in WW2. Ate well, mainly Corsican specialities e.g, mussels with cheese, veal with olives.

I had the unfortunate experience of losing my iPhone at the start of my trip. The desk managers at the Hotel Kalliste were amazing!!! They worked tirelessly to help me locate my phone that was left in a taxi. Thank you to Ilme!! Thank you to Joanne!! Thank you to Thomas!! You all went above and beyond to help me locate my phone. Great sleuthing to all! I was able to retrieve my phone and carry on with my vacation stress free.

Ajaccio is a magical and beautiful town, full of life, beaches, and amazing restaurants. It is very accessible by foot, and the access from the airport is also quick and convenient. Locals (at least most of the people we engaged with while there) were helpful and kind. I am not sure how safe a city it is as I "lost" a very valuable watch, and I wonder if it was the act of pickpockets, or hotel staff, or it came lose (it has not in 15 years though.) That did leave me with a feeling of deep disappointment. That put aside, I very much recommend traveling to Corsica and spending a couple of days in Ajaccio.

We found many good restaurants and one favorite one we went to several times. The city is clean and the port is amazing, especially with the huge cruise ships in port. The streets with the shopping kiosks offer anything and everything. The streets go every which way but GPS was an absolute necessity. DON'T LEAVE HOME WITHOUT IT!!

We went to visit our granddaughter so she was our guide for the holiday. However, the hotel had a very comprehensive touch screen guide for transport, restaurants, places to see etc. Ajaccio was very accessible on foot and a week was enough to explore the town and surrounding areas on foot, bus and train. To go further afield you would need to hire a car. There were loads of restaurants and many cafes plus a weekly market by the harbour.
I loved the room, bathroom, and common area. The whole apartment is sparkling clean and the A/C worked very well. The Rosie has to be commanded for the friendliest welcome! Françoise was so nice! She gave me great tips about the area and really made sure I had all I needed and more. The whole Rosie family is wonderful and I can’t thank them enough for making my first days in Corsica so welcoming. Merci, merci, merci! I really appreciated all you did!
The location of this hotel is superb, very near the places to see. The room was fully airconditioned, so nice to cool ourselves from the long walks under the sun. The continental breakfast was okay. The staff are very accommodating and friendly.
There are not much to see on the city centre. I recommend to take the boat tours and bus tours which takes you to the true identity of Corsica. So beautiful and clean.
The apartment is in a great location, very central and near lots of bars and restaurants. It is spacious and had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable and the a/c was good. The Corsican biscuits on arrival were a lovely treat! Check-in was very easy and we had access to a luggage storage room free of charge. We highly recommend this apartment and will definitely be back!
Nice location in "the midst of it all" in a pedestrian zone which one can access by car to drop off luggage using a QR code that the hotel sends before arrival. Despite being in the midst of Ajaccio, the street facing room was quiet to sleep in. Nicely air conditioned. A relaxing stay in a super central part of Corsica's capital.
The apartment is functional, offering everything you need. The terrace with a large table and comfortable chairs has a lovely view onto the sea. The parking is an added bonus.
The neighbourhood is quiet with a bakery and supermarket within walking distance. Downtown Ajaccio is a 20 minute walk away or a quick drive/bus ride.
Great location across the road from beautiful beaches. The bus stops close to the property and it is an easy busy ride into Ajaccio town. The accommodation has everything you could possibly need to self cater and the kitchen was well stocked with all the essentials (and more). The hosts were very kind and helpful.
Vegetarian food is rare in Corsica (How vegans manage I don’t know), but the restaurant sized up the starter so I had an excellent mushroom dish. My daughter in law who eats almost anything, loved the dinner menu.
Thé breakfast menu was also excellent.
Daughter in law also enjoyed the pool and sauna.
The breakfast was fantastic and we were treated very kindly and individually. As well, the receptionist gave us a wonderful book about Corsica, which we could keep overnight with great recommondations for hiking routes. We felt very welcome and would come back any time.
This is one of the best places in Corsica:
- Amazing facilities with great attention to detail (bonus points to the garden and private pool)
- Outstanding hospitality
- A homemade breakfast which you won’t find anywhere else
Will return gladly!
The hotel staff was very friendly and helped you were they could. The location is pretty good aswell and you can get easily to the city with the bus for a cheap price. We had beautiful weather so there was an amazing view to the sea.
Comfortable spacious apartment. Well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Nice big balcony. Comfy bed. Perfect location for train station, buses, port, town centre..and our favourite restaurant in ajaccio, spaghetti 3.
The hotel is located close to the harbour and to the center of Ajaccio. The beach and a lot of restaurants can be reached by foot within minutes. The room was clean and had air conditioning. The bed was super comfortable.
Beautifully located, nice hotel. Amazing sea view from the rooms, very nice bar and restaurant with kind and helpful staff. The hotel has a close bay beach also.
We spent 3 wonderful days here.
Perfect location, the sea is literally 5 meters away from your window. Amazing water and sand. Parking available. Polite and collaborative staff. Good food in the hotel restaurant.
