We liked the old town but the rest of it was very down at heel and disappointing. It may be the that building work on the other side will improve the area but as we were staying in the middle of the works it was very unattractive

With only 24 hours, we only saw the old town, which is unspoilt (the most important feature for us of any destination). There were excellent traditional family run restaurants offering good traditional French food at reasonable prices. The ramparts offer a relaxing an interesting walk and the castle and cathedral a bit of culture.

Great place if you are interested in fishing, sea, seafood.
Great place if you are interested in fishing, sea, seafood. The historical city is worth a short visit. A lot of choice in restaurants and fish shops. Nice beach and waterfront sites. A part of the marina neigbourhoud is under reconstruction, the result will be very nice.

Boulogne-sur-Mer is a small but pleasant town to visit if you want to escape from the busy city life. We visited Nausicaa, the largest aquarium in Europe! It was worth the drive from Holland! That was the main reason for out trip.

We liked the fact that there were many towels available. The whole apartment is spacious. There is a terrace in the back (where the kitchen is located). There are shutters for making the room dark. The shower cabin inside the bathroom is big. The Wifi is excellent. The apartment has no living quarters on the other side of the street (there are university buidings). The old town centre is on walking distance. The owner was present when we arrived. The apartment is located on the paid parking/ free parking border.
Beautifully refurbished to a very high standard. The rooms and whole building was unique, in the old town of Bologne, and steeped in history. The hosts were friendly, welcoming and attentive. They allow access to their private spa area, built into the cellar of their house. This magical enchanted area was a delight to experience, and gave my husband and I a quiet space to relax and unwind from our busy working worlds.
Valérie is an outstanding host.
She made my stay at Boulogne-sur-Mer a very rewarding one.
Thanks to her advice I was able to find the best restaurants in town and the best attractions also.
Let's not forget that Valérie was born and raised in Boulogne-sur-Mer.
Also the check-in and checkout process was pleasant and easy.
I would go back to her place without a second-guess and will recommend it to anyone else.
Our family of four received a very warm welcome to Valerie's stunning house in the heart of Boulogne's beautiful old town. Lots of space and beautifully decorated, plus easy free parking on the street outside. The kids loved using the gym equipment and we had a lovely breakfast in the morning before going on our way, taking the scenic coastal route back to Calais on Valerie's recommendation. Merci beaucoup!
Corinne's apartment is fabulous. The location is simply superb - right in the middle of Boulogne's beautiful old town overlooking the square and beautiful gardens. The rooms are finished to a very high standard and there are lots of lovely touches.
Breakfast was delicious and excellent quality and value. Corinne is so friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend this property and can't wait to return.
Perfect place to explore Boulogne sur Mer. Right in the middle of town, so expected it to be lively. Didn't want to spend time cooking, so made use of the ample local facilities for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Apartment is in a lovely, quirky old building which 'acts its age'. Apartment spotlessly clean throughout. Nausicaa (brilliant aquarium) a very short drive away.
Leah welcomed us to the hotel and was absolutely charming. She told us where we could park the car - a real bonus in a busy city. Our room was spacious and immaculately clean. Only slight downside was that they couldny=t let us have breakfast at 7 - we had to leave without breakfast as we had a ferry to catch.
Thank you we will stay next time we are in Boulogne!
It is a wonderful room, located at the heart of Boulogne-sur-Mer. It is beautifully decorated with an eye for detail; the tiles in the kitchen and shower are very tasteful. We loved the floor heating in the shower. The breakfast, it was yummy. The inner courtyard is beautiful and calming. The check-in was very easy.
The flat is very located between the historical Old Town and the Boulogne port and shops. The location is quiet and has a good feel about it. The flat was clean, warm and comfortable, even the bed and fairly well equipped. Every items look new and even the TV but some critical items are missing.
clean, well equipped and bright apartment in a very nice location. A safe, private parking is included which is very convenient. the location is between the harbor and the old town. Near bakeries and shops. Very polite and helpful owner. Nothing to complain about, will stay again.
very central location , ideal for the old town and visiting the historical attractions the area has to offer tourists , restaurant's are plentiful in the area and we particularly liked the cafe / boulangerie near the city walls offering good value snacks and pastries
It was very clean and quiet. I really enjoyed it, and would go back in my next visit to Boulogne sur mer. I could cook, get the food I needed close and the neighbours were friendly.
Perfect location, very clean and cozy/stylish decorated apartment. All comfort you need for family with kids. When we visit Boulogne sur mer again, we ll be back in this apartment :)
Excellent location in the center of the old town. Owner very helpful & accessible. Nice quiet veranda/balcony. Free parking nearby. Excellent TV channels, apps & wifi. Pet friendly.
Perfect location and the host and keyholder were extremely helpful and friendly. Great location to walk to anywhere in Boulogne sur mer.
