We visited Montbelliard to go to the Christmas Market. The hotel was in a good location for the markets, which were great. The town was very festive and we enjoyed our stay, would recommend for anyone wanting to visit for a short stay.

A wonderful secluded villa near the centre of Montbéliard , a wonderful garden and terrace, and a terrific spacious room with bath and all amenities one might need. The host makes you feel as if you were the king of France. Staying here makes you feel reborn! Have dinner here, because you will be getting a royal treatment. I loved it and will surely be back here whenever in the region (or even make a detour just to stay here).

Everything here works slowly, breakfast is basically prepared on the moment and consists on bread with different spreads, a piece of local cheese and coffee. It does not follow modern standards of hotel service but I find that to be part of the charm. One must not expect a hotel in the traditional sense of the word, this is more like an inn in a Lord of the rings movie.

Free underground carpark!But easily missed! when you get near the hotel slow right down and go down the ramp into the carpark BEFORE checking in. Take a ticket from the machine, park car, then take luggage into hotel via Ibis lift from car park. Receptionist will give you a special ticket so you don’t have to pay when you leave!

It is inside the city and well connected with all modes of transport. I love the neighborhood. Many cafes and restaurants are all in walkable distance.
