The location, the Ocres, surrounding towns and breakfast were great and the host was amazing! Because we traveled off season, there were no places open for dinner. However, David was able to send us just a few miles away to 2 different towns that had great places to eat for dinner and even made reservations for us so we were guaranteed a table.
This boutique hotel is located in the center of Roussillon, a village in Luberon. It offers rooms with views of the picturesque village, the red cliffs or the valley.

The location is superb. The room was very nice. Breakfast was served to the table vs a buffet, but it was plentiful and very good. The hosts offered to make a restaurant reservation for us in advance since the on site restaurant was closed that day.

Pool was very clean and inviting after hot days touring the Luberon. The owners were lovely and very helpful. They explained the history of the guesthouse of 9 rooms, that it was built in the 70s as the original hotel for Roussillon and the owners have spent last 9 yrs updating it. Every room feels private by way of its situation at an angle from the others, quite unique. It feels very calm and peaceful in the country but still a short drive to Rousillon and Gordes. The breakfast was cooked to order and substantial.
Located 1.1 mi from Roussillon village, Le Clos des Cigales offers an outdoor pool, terrace and garden. Free WiFi is available.

It was an excellent location to explore the villages in the area including Roussillon. Please note however, that it is not situated in any town, but in a lovely forested area near many beautiful villages.

The old property was, we think, a farmhouse.
The old property was, we think, a farmhouse. There was no a/c. 40 decrees day. Night too hot. Many door & windows wouldn't open for ventilation. Bathroom glass door panel was seriously cracked, as was panel on shower wall. Dangerous. Some elec. points old and loose. No tv. but didn't mind. Host, Christine, couldn't have been more helpful. Good breakfasts. Lovely location. Peaceful and quiet.

Rousillon is a cute little hilltop village - we had a wonderful stroll and dinner and overnight stay at La Maison des Ocres. I would recommend it for an overnight stop but not necessary for a long stop.

A few comments we read indicated some sort of weird vibe from this town, which made us second-guess our decision to visit and stay in the area. But we are so glad we didn't change our plans - we didn't feel that way at all. We loved Roussillon. The shops and the restaurants were great, most with balconies over the cliffs and very good, reasonably priced meals. Plenty to see and do in the area.

Roussillon is a beautiful little old village on a hilltop with magnificent views. There are lots of reasonably priced restaurants. There is a public car park quite near the centre which is not expensive and free on a Sunday.

Very picturesque & clean, with wonderful views of the cliffs & the
surrounding area & the entire town smelled great! Terrific place for
walking (if you like uphill climbs!); not so great for cars (not unexpected) but most car traffic observes safety rules. The Thursday market was full of beautiful, fresh foods as well as lots of things you'd actually like to buy! Perfect spot in Provence!
Lou Amourie is perfectly situated just a 5 minute drive from Roussillon which attracts many tourists. So to be able to escape to this lovely, quiet B&B in the countryside is wonderful! The breakfasts are delicious and beautifully presented in the garden behind the house. Their one and only guest room is decorated with fun antiques. The owners were very gracious and took great care with the details, making sure we were comfortable (pillows, towels, etc.) in every way.
The kindness, hospitality and generosity of Marie Paule and Jean Paul were very apparent. We are strangers and they treated us as if we were family and we will forever have this experience planted in our memories.
The location is magical with a lot of free space, pine trees and peaceful surroundings. The beautiful villages around Roussillon, the great food , the spectacular scenery.
Much much happy.
Patricia and Phillip were extremely helpful and accommodating. We had a room on the top floor which would have been a problem had not Phillip carried all our bags up and down the stairs. They have a lovely backyard with a heated pool and welcoming garden. Their location is very close to all the Luberons villages too. Patricia made us the most heavenly omelets each morning. I cannot wait to return.
Eric and Paola were incredible hosts! The property itself is absolutely gorgeous, even better than the pictures, and the rooms were perfect. It was our first time in the south of France and Eric/Paola were always helpful with recommendations and helped us have a 10/10 experience on our trip. If you're looking for a place to stay in this area look no further.
The property was everything we expected, and it was right in the center of Roussillon. Parking can be a little challenging, but Marjolene met us, went with us to the private parking lot, and helped with our bags. Marjolene provided a delicious breakfast on our private patio. We stayed two nights, and Marjolene made two excellent dinner recommendations for us.
Beautiful home in a tiny village. The lovely decorating gave our room an upscale feel. Nice to relax by the pool with a glass of wine. Good breakfast and ample parking. Within a short drive to Roussillon which was one of our favorite places, but it would not be a walkable distance. Hosts spoke some English which was helpful.
This was an absolutely pleasure to stay at this hotel. The rooms were nice and clean. If you want to try the best homemade local food - this is the place. We have never tasted anything this good locally in France. :-) also the breakfast was amazing.. We booked massage for my wife and this was also truly amazing.
Marjolene is an exceptional host who put tremendous effort to make our stay perfect. The place itself used to be a 17-century monastery that Marjolene restored and renovated. Located square in the center of Roussillon, and our room had spectacular views from the balcony.
We had a wonderful stay. The place was perfect, beautiful and peaceful surrounding. Rousillion is a beautiful little village and a good place to stay to explore Luberon region. Our host are super lovely and kind. We will come back to stay if we travel again to Provence.
Excellent location. In the middle of the city centre walking distance to all touristic points.
Great staff helping with suggestions and recommendations.
Very good restaurant in the hotel with a nice view of the valley.
Private parking very close to the hotel.
1st. Rousillon is a very cool little village. It epitomizes Provence. The people in the town are very friendly, the food wonderful, the scenery very nice. Valerie has a 3 story apartment, done quite well. comfortable. I would go back.
Thank you Valerie.
Great view and location. Clean, spacious room and washroom. Breakfasts were incredible. Staff very professional, friendly and helpful. And the “piece de resistance “ was the outdoor pool which was very refreshing after a day of exploring Roussillon.
The breakfast was very good. The pool and surroundings are beautiful. It's stunning at night with the lighted globes in the trees and on the ground. Loved that the hotel is a ten-minute walk to Rousillon center.
A beautiful property and wonderful hosts. Having the pool to sit at after a busy day was so relaxing. Walk to town was easy. Great location to visiting other Luberon villages. Excellent breakfast.
Location! View from the pool at the Roussillon village walking there just in 2 min! Very quiet and private! Pool superb! Very friendly, helpful hosts! Nice breakfast with good local products!
Has free parking space reserved for hotel guests. Great view to the landscape from the room. The restaurant Davids is in 2022 Michelin Guide and the front desk can help with the reservation.
Wonderful host and hostess, Peter and Patricia. Beautiful B&B in a quiet area close to all the villages of the Luberon area of Provence. Delicious breakfast too! Highly recommend!
Nice hotel in a location about 10 minutes walk from the village. Helpful staff. Nice pool. Lovely little balcony. Nice secure parking (which is locked from 11pm to 7am).
Clean and cordial staff. Small fridge in the room and AC works well. Close to Roussillon center by car.
The pool was open and sadly I didn’t get to use.
