Very comfortable room, cheaper than premier inns

Ipswich is a lovely place. We visited friends for a couple of days.
We went Inflata nation jump park in cardinal park. This was really good fun but expensive. The Cardinal park has many eating places and a huge cinema.

I was shocked how run down the town centre has become since my last visit quite some time ago. Internet shopping and large shopping malls on the outskirts probably contribute to the decline of town centers.

What I appreciate the most is the comfortable accommodation, great location, outstanding customer service, and quiet, peaceful atmosphere.
What I dislike the most is the absence of a stool in the room.

We were in Ipswich to watch the last championship match of the season at Portman Road.
We arrived on the Friday night and shared an amazing tomahawk steak at "The Grill At Twenty5" which had a lovely atmosphere and wonderful staff.
We watched the match on Saturday and spent the rest of the day soaking up the atmosphere with the wonderful Ipswich fans.
After sobering up and taking a break from the wonderful sun shine, we had our evening meal at Mariners in the marina which hosts a French restaurant on a restored 19th century boat with heaps of history and character.
We had to leave early on Sunday but would have loved to explorer further afield.
Will be back next season to see a premiership game (ticket permitting).

i liked Ipswich ,the town is small but with very nice old architecture from Tudor era, mix with Victorian style of course the moderns one are present there too. The coffee shop are the best you will remember Ipswich for this for a very long time. There is a park to visit which is very close to the centre. Suggestion: walk in the park visit the Christchurch Mansion Museum for free go to the top but when you come back take the streets along the park you will meet with beautiful, beautiful houses. In Ipswich you don't get lonely the people are very nice there , they are quick to know you and have a chat. Then there is Marina....a good place for a restaurant where you find different dishes from different countries. Then there is a football stadium too. There is lots to see around Ipswich. There are two important markets with bus station so from Cat Market I travel by bus to WoodBridge, Kersey and Felixstowe with best fish and chips etc the villages are one more appealing then other that I recommend you to visit.

Maybe we are not looking in the right places but our view of Ipswich is that of a run-down, sad town. Even the waterfront seems an unhappy place.
The nicest hotel-run restaurant we could find for breakfast by the waterfront was probably a lovely place at some point but was worn out and in desperate need of redecoration. We run away from Ipswich for the third time, to decompress in beautiful Suffolk countryside where there are dozens of nice, well looked after towns
I stayed a week in order to attend an event at nearby Trinity Park with my dog. I had an excellent stay - the staff, without exception, were the friendliest of any hotel I have ever stayed in - nothing was too much trouble. The room was a decent size and recently decorated and the bathroom appears new. Dogs are welcome in the bar area (where you can also choose to eat) and the breakfasts are fantastic. All in all, my dog and I were made to feel very welcome (and a special thank you to Maisie for the dog treats!)
Breakfast to go was ample food for each person. Hopefully diabetic options available on request.
when additional milk was requested for hot drinks, owner happily gave more supplies generously.
owner very sociable and interested in his clients welfare
My room was a superiour single, newly refurbished and furnished in tasteful style, not a tiny room like some singles in other establishments!
Free parking at a hotel near city centre a definite bonus!!
A great Hotel, in a good location near the A14 and in the Centre of the village of Claydon with plenty of parking. The room was very comfortable and quiet, everything you need for a short stay. Marina (hope I’ve spelt that right) was absolutely wonderful, she could not do enough for us and the other guests.
Breakfast was excellent, a good range of cereals, fruit and yogurt etc. and we really enjoyed the sausage and bacon on the Full English.
The location close to the Neptune marina and Ipswich waterfront was excellent with a free parking spot. Plenty of decent restaurants, cafes and bars within walking distance. Having 2 bathrooms (one on-suite) was a definite plus. Beds were comfortable. Compact kitchen but has everything you need. WiFi worked well and 2 in our party were able to work comfortably from the table. Also just 20 minute walk to the shops in the town centre.
The superior room was large and well appointed, the breakfast was good with a large range of hot food and a reasonable continental selection, the beds were a little soft but ok. The hotel is conveniently situated near the A12 giving direct access to Ipswich and Colchester park and ride and only 20 minutes or so from Dedham.
This is a rather run-down hotel being kept afloat by a really dedicated and helpful staff team, who did everything they could to help in the face of faulty infrastructure. The location would have been good for us had the A14 not been in the process of being re-built (not the hotel's fault, but a real inconvenience).
Exactly what was required. Super comfy and convenient. Considering the level of amenities this stay was excellent value for money. Nothing was too much, trouble - I was made to feel at home the whole time and I will be going back when I’m next in the area without a doubt. Thanks for a lovely stay.
Room was very clean. Excellent breakfast - both variety, presentation and service. We also had an evening meal at the hotel. Less choice than breakfast but well cooked and presented. Location right in the centre of Ipswich. The staff were very approachable, helpful and efficient.
Room was big and spacious and in a great location.
The staff - as it overlapped with the pub - were welcoming and easy to contact/ask questions.
Perfect for a couple of nights stay with good connections to Ipswich and surrounding areas
Room was clean and comfortable. Parking was busy upon arrival because of Ipswich home game but spaces were coned off for hotel use. Later in the evening parking was plentiful. Enjoyed the carvery meal.
Well run friendly hotel, professional staff, nothing too much trouble. Restaurant amazing! Great menu and staff attentive. Location perfect for an eating and drinking weekend. Will definitely go back.
The rooms and the hotel in general are great. Reception staff are a credit to the hotel. Unfortunately the restaurant staff at breakfast are not good on customer service and the breakfast was very poor.
Staff were great, facilities (swimming pool, steam room, sauna) were good if a little small. Bar and breakfasts were very good. I've stayed in a few hotels around Ipswich, and would stay here again.
The facility is sparkling clean in a good location close to town centre, train and bus stations.
The studio room is lovely and equiped with every household facility you can think of.
