The view! An amazing fresh and healthy breakfast on the terrace was just magical! Staff were absolutely fantastic! The room was perfect, bigger than expected! The grounds were lovely and a big clean pool again with a view of the lake! There’s a corner shop 5 mins walk which had everything you needed to cook up a meal or snack and had wine/beer. A restaurant in the area too. Walk into town was a lovely walk. I would definitely recommend - I can’t believe our luck in finding this perfect place.

Gardone is quiet but exclusive doesn’t feel touristy like the other little towns around the lake . Gardone itself is a 15 minute walk from grand fasano hotel . It has a few shops and a few restaurants and one delicious deli that sells home made bread sandwiches and cakes .
No bars seen as all are restaurants but they will let you have a drink no doubt .
The ferry is in Gardone and out of season there are few ferries but more after mid May apparently. Because it’s at the far west of the lake it can take longer to reach some towns on the lake . Salò is a 14 minute ferry away and is gorgeous and 5 minutes by driving

Beautiful spot on edge of Lake Garda.
Beautiful spot on edge of Lake Garda. Not nearly as busy as the other towns making it a perfect place to stay. Lots of great restaurants to choose from and a ferry station to access other towns. We stayed as a family and it was perfect.

Gardone Riviera is excellent for 7-9 day trip - I stayed for 3 days. I would be satisfied fully with at least staying 5 days - because in order to see all the best spots I needed to pack some of my sightseeing two per day, which was basically ok, but there is no need - it is best to go, see something, and then enjoy time on the beach, by the lake and have nice lunch and dinner. Lake is beautiful, town is small but attractive, it is really worth seeing.

Although massive hotel (almost a ten minute walk from our room to the front desk), we loved every minute of the old world charm of this hotel. Very good breakfast, bar near swimming pool, helpful staff.

Less touristy than other spots on Lake Garda, also a bit smaller. Looks very impressive as you arrive on the ferry. Lots of grand old hotels lining the water. A number of restaurants along the promenade, providing a nice scenic environment to eat.
Tourist train takes you to the main attraction Il Vittoriale. This area is rally pretty , lots of windy streets , very old and a nice church overlooking the lake and the monument.
Area also serviced by bus up and down the lake. Easy to use and quite inexpensive if you do not have a car.

Wow, this hotel is what you expect to find in Italy. The owners take pride in this 140 year old hotel. Very well kept and maintenanced. The details are incredible from the dinning room to the hallways. Beautiful accents every where; painting on ceilings of patio, wood ceiling in staircase, landscaping. I mean everything is well thought out. They have food and drink service. Breakfast is one of the better i had in Italy. The sisters that continue to run the hotel (3rd generation) are super friendly and just amazing.
The friendly reception we received was so lovely. When we arrived, we needed to change from a double bed to two single beds, and this was done without any problem. Breakfast was served with such lovely staff, and a smile. There was a good selection, and the coffee was delicious. The location of the hotel was excellent, on the waters front, between a small park, and all the restaurants. Air conditioning worked extremely well.
Having visited most if not all the "Grand" Hotels around Como and Garda in the last 20 years we have decided that we like this hotel the best. It has improved greatly since our last visit four years ago. The Spa has been refurbished and is now splendid. The two restaurants, one fish orientated and the other haute cuisine are very good and we understand that a Michelin Star for the latter could be imminent.
The property is very well located, clean and has all necessary facilities. The hotel is close to the promenade with many restaurants and shops. Stefano, the hotel's general manager, was highly competent and eager to accommodate any additional needs we had. In addition there is a small terrace on the rooftop of the building with a stunning view on the lake and nice breakfast is included.
Just the best treatment. The hotel is beautiful and very relaxing. There was an unforeseen situation and the team went OUT OF THEIR WAY to make sure that we were comfortable. I have never encountered such an effort on part of the management and I have been to many many hotels of all levels. The team is wonderful and the hotel is lovely!
This hotel is exceptional. A beautiful location set in the hillside overlooking the Lake and beautifully styled and furnished. Staff could not be more helpful and food and drink was exceptional. The efforts by the staff make the stay feel seamless and we really couldn’t find a fault. This is 5 star at its very best . Strongly recommend
The hotel is very pretty, the staff were warm and friendly plus it was lovely and clean. We loved the rooms and the breakfast was great. It is only a 3 min walk to the lake and the fantastic Gardone Riviera restaurants and lake boats. Fabulous size family room with 2 bedrooms and a shared bathroom, superb.
Everything was great. The guys at the reception are very nice and helpful. The hotel is extremely clean. The staff is wearing good masks which is good and shows their attitude to the pandemic and sanitization of the hotel. We were happy to stay there.
Their restaurant has a very good food
We had the best experience with this hotel!! The minute we arrived they welcomed us with a smile. franccesco is an amazing person who helped us with everything!! Bike Rental is for free and the wellness area is so relaxing!! Rooms are new and equipped with AC!!
Overall the hotel was absolutely gorgeous. The location on the lake was phenomenal, staff couldn't do enough for us, hotel was clean and beautiful. Would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone looking to enjoy Lake Garda in a quiet, relaxed area.
This is our second visit to this very special hotel. A fantastic history, great location and a great restaurant. We drove through France and Switzerland and into Italy over 700 miles simply for dinner by the lake..........sublime.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was basic, but with a beautiful view over Lake Garda. Nearby free parking and breakfast is included. There is a pizzeria across from the hotel and a nice seafood restaurant nearby.
The location is amazing, beachfront, you don’t need to travel somewhere else to swim. Saló, my favourite city in Garda, is just 10 mins away by car. Great restaurants!
Breakfast at the hotel is very good.
The location of the hotel is perfect and my family spent the bulk of our time (3 nights total) swimming in the lake and eating at the nearby restaurants. The lake was perfect.
