Far away from any city, the hotel offers large rooms, an onsen, a golf... I was lucky to have a balcony overlooking the golf, and the view was both peaceful and beautiful. Sherry on the cake: the breakfast is good and good value for money.

The hotel room has a magnificent view. We can see the grass field and sunrise in the morning. The hotel room is excellent, neat, clean, comfortable and tidy. The staff was nice and helpful. We went for the horse riding tour the other day and the staff were happy to explain the horses to us.

1. The room is spacious for three people.
2. The whole hotel is elegant, with traditional Japanese design. You can take a lot of photos inside the hotel as its design is very different from those you normally live in big cities.
3. We had a dinner meal in this hotel. Wow, it's just unforgettable. The seafood is so fresh and overall the meal is bravo!
4. There is a private onsen bath in my room. You can enjoy it anytime!
Great views. Great trip. Only disappointment is the blue "lake" in Nakadake Crater. All the pictures show the "lake" while to my understanding it was destroyed during the 2016 earthquake. It was what drawn my attention to this location to begin with, so it was disappointing not seeing it. All these pictures should be replaced with what currently is there, not what used to be there.

Unfortunately access to the crater is still prohibited due to the risk of toxic gases, but the surrounding area is impressive. For those keen on a hard nature walk you can walk up the steep trail of the neighbouring peak and look down into the crater from there. Allow a good half a day or more to do this!
It was a lovely traditional Japanese style hotel.
Especially, it was super awesome to be able to reserve the room with the private hot springs in the balcony.
It was not cheap, but it was definitely worth paying for as my wife and I could get into hot springs at any time we wanted.
The staff was very polite, and the room was comfortable.
It was nice to be able to choose different designs of yukata lobe.
The breakfast buffet was very nice as it had many different varieties of food.
We highly recommend to experience this beautiful place.
The ryokan was very centrally located, walking distance from Aso Shrine. It is a large ryokan with individual dining rooms and a huge kitchen. Rooms are comfortable and there are nice touches, like welcome tea, snacks when you arrive, bathing salts for your tubs. The meals here are a treat! We enjoyed our dinner and breakfast here a lot. You get served different courses and they do give you a lot of food esp for dinner. Everything was exquisitely cooked and coffee at breakfast was a nice touch to end.
The Japanese-style room was spacious, clean and comfortable.
The property has public hot springs for men and women as well as two private hot springs. Everything you need to enjoy them is provided.
The staff is amazingly patient and hospitable. I was greeted warmly upon arrival and provided with a welcome drink and snack. The staff carried my luggage up the stairs to my room.
I wish I had spent more than one night here and very much look forward to returning in the future.
Superb buffet-style dinner and breakfast - everything fresh and incredibly tasty, with a great variety of the most popular Japanese and Western foods. On top of that, kind and helpful staff. I also loved the public bath - quite spacious, clean and with quite a nice view of the mountains.
I could see Aso-san from my room as well, and it made my day <3 I strongly recommend this hotel, great value for a fraction of the price of other good local hotels.
Our stay was in early December and I can’t thank their staff enough. They were so friendly and nice, helped us to get the taxi and being extremely helpful for everything. We are so touched by the services. The room and everything were nice. There was a private Onsen you can use for free once during the stay. The breakfast was good too with Aso milk. We really enjoyed the stay and will definitely recommend this!
We liked the wonderful breakfast!
Rooms needed updating.
Hot-cold mixers were still old 2-knobs hot and cold type.
Hotel location is within 30mins from Aso caldera visitor parking so we can visit as often as you want.
This hotel within the golf course has beautiful views especially in the mornings. Lovely to look at even if you don't play golf.
The location is fantastic. The availability of horseback riding throughout the valley was the primary reason for our selection of El Patio. The horseback riding experience was terrific. The room was large, modern, clean and very comfortable and with a nice "Western" theme style. The personnel were all very friendly and helpful.
The hotel is new, modern, and nice. Eventhough the room is small but it is well designed and we can stay very comfortably. There is coin washing machine+dryer available in the hotel. Walking distance to restaurants and convenient stores. Staffs are nice and accommodating.
Everything was clean and new. Even if in the middle of the nature, no insect found inside.
Good facilities with some goods provided (oil, salt, detergent, etc), so very convenient.
View on Mt Aso surroundings is enjoyable.
Close to combini, restaurants, gas station.
Great place to relax and gain strength. The nature around is amazing (but needs a car) and the air is like fine wine. The hotel itself contains a large amount of facilities (if you don't like to travel) and the dishes variety during dinner is just unbelievable.
The staff was very helpful. I was asking him to call another hotel because I can't speak Japanese. And he is eager to help. Thank you so much. The hotel is very nice, the spa is so huge. Bedroom is wonderful good view even without shower. Recommended.
Auntie Tomo is an amazing host, and will inform you about Aso, and the city around her house if that is where you intend to go. The house has a few other rooms but once you go to retire to yours, you hardly notice the others.
Our first time staying at a traditional Japanese inn. My daughter had done the research and chosen the spot. The location was amazing and I would definitely stay there again. The breakfast and onsen were fantastic!
our 3 pax room is big & clean, onsen & dinning areas are large. The hotel also provides shuttle to bring guests to & from train stations. and the breakfast & dinner spread are of western & Japanese buffet styles.
The property is very well located next to Aso mountain and Aso station. I arrived a little bit late accordingly to the check in and the hosts still waited for me.
