I didn't actually a town of Ranomafana, so this review is for Ranomafana National Park. The park is very hilly, so be prepared to climb a lot of stairs, which would be very slippery when wet. We were there in May, which is not even in the peak tourist season, but found the park to be overcrowded at times, especially compared to Mantadia and Analamazaotra. We would have 40-50 people gathered looking at 3-4 lemurs. It felt claustrophobic. Luckily, most people only do the 2-3 hour hike, and we did the 5-hour hike. So the last few hours were nice.
