Beautiful location and the owner lady was so lovely! They left us out a little treat of some snacks and a bottle of wine in the room too which was such a nice touch and actually did us for dinner which helped massively! The room and accommodation was faultless, such a lovely space and we were able to park our two motorbikes securely just outside the room. This is a perfect stay to explore the area and we would have happily stayed longer if we weren’t moving on to Porto with our trip. Highly recommend, cannot fault one bit!

This accomodation is truly amazing. Located in a vineyard, there are multiple apartments available. Ours, "B" was quiet, equipped with a fireplace, two bedrooms and the hosts were really accommodating, proving us with a crib and high chair on only a few hours notice. The top pool has a magnificent view, offering tranquility and we managed to tru ly unwind with our young family. There is also a newly built infinity pool only one minute from the front gate!
It was sheer bliss wandering through the grapevines, picking Resendes world renowned cherries here and there and enjoying wild flowers and nature in general. We highly recommend Casas do Monte.
There is parking available but also a bus station in front of the house and a minimarket in walking distance.
We booked Casas do Monte out of pure need but were overjoyed and extended our stay to a whole week!
Each unit has their own outside area to sit and chill. The hosts were easy to reach and helped us out throughout our stay.
We hope the pool on top of the hill stays. It's what made this stay extra special for us.
We loved our 4 days at Sao Romao de Agregos. Our hosts, Carlos and his wife were very helpful and friendly and recommended places of interest which we thoroughly enjoyed- hikes, wine tasting tours and stunning view sights. The facilities were immaculate and we enjoyed beauutiful sunsets around the pool area. We will definitely book this apartment again if we have the opportunity ro return to Resende.

Driving the Douro Valley is an adventure.
Driving the Douro Valley is an adventure. We found the stone cottage perched on the side of this amazing valley with its views and charming pool and immaculate interior delightful. The people were warm and welcoming. We were there in a period of extended rain In January so we were very glad of the wood stove. Because of rain our usual outdoor activities became somewhat modified but the hot springs in Caldaria were nice and we journeyed to the Coa river rock carvings which were awesome and we just hiked around in the rain around the village. Nice stay!

cafes serve gorgeous fresh bread and natas which are very thin crusty pastry cases filled with a vanilla like custard awesome!.
got to mention the gentleman restaurant was great for dinner at night, nice food and wine.staff very friendly.not cheap but best ambience we found.
try to go when resende has their cherry festival in town as we missed it.
Everything! The two ladies who ran the Quinta were amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was amazing, using lots of fresh fruit sourced from the gardens surrounding the house!
The view was gorgeous, especially with a good sunset. Lots of private places in the gardens where each group or couple can enjoy their own space. The pool was clean and sunbeds comfortable.
A 2 minute drive to the nearest town Resende, which has everything you need to make your stay comfortable. Lots of restaurant options too!
Nos encanto ! Maravilloso! heaven on earth... loved it ! Such a relaxing stay and the home is so charming and welcoming. As if you are staying in your own mansion. We stayed at the main home with our own terrace. The near town of Resende and caldos aregos have some very authentic very good restaurants. We went to the river beach (Praia Fluvial Porto de Rei) and enjoyed the mountain at night with wine and just totally amazing vineyards, also during the day.
It was the most relaxing place, with the most awesome views over the valley and Douro river.. not far into Resende town, where we had the most delicious meal. There are so many attractions around the area, and we visited some lovely wine farms. The host was so helpful and packed us a breakfast for our drive back to Porto.our room, more like a self contained cottage, was so well equipped. We could’ve stayed there a month!!!
Was exactly what we needed after traveling for two days. The staff was very nice and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. The gardens and grounds were amazing. Breakfast was homemade and fresh. The roads in this area are narrow with no shoulders. GPS took us down dirt roads that we ended up backing back out of. We got lost a couple times trying to find the hotel. Carlos was very patient with us.
Warm and friendly staff in a setting that is just beautiful. The rooms are good size and very comfortable while the grounds are just amazing. They provided a good breakfast to start the day and were grateful for their honor bar system which allowed us to have a bottle of wine and pay for it later. This allows us not to have to leave the hotel which due to its location is a good thing.
if you are reading this review- please book this hotel!
it was one of the best experiences in my life.
Liliana and the crew was incredible, you can see that they love to host.
it is such a great feeling that you’re being taking care of.
breakfast is amazing, fruits from the trees in the garden,
the room is new clean and beautiful. beautiful views and amazing tennis court and pool.
Douro Marina Hotel & Spa is an amazing hotel to spend a few days. It is a simple hotel in a small village but offers you everything you could possibly need. The rooms are comfortable and always clean, the pool is good and my experience at the Spa was amazing. The breakfast has variety for all types of foodies and the main plus point is the staff who is always ready to help.
Time to relax! We felt the kindness of the owners and citizens in Aregos and Resende, a place nearby. The house was very spacious, amazing and clean! Our baby was not having dirty knees, which was quite unique on our trip consisting of 14 locations. Furthermore the pool, bbq facilities and its lovely surroundings make it the perfect location to spend your holiday.
Well, the Hotel has all the requirements to be an excellent 4* Hotel. Due to Pandemic I believe, it has suffered a lot, and some services are no longer provided as they should. The room size is good, and the pool is extremelly convenient. The breakfast is also quite good and has a wide range of fruits, pastry, cereals, eggs and dried/smoked meats.
The breakfast was pretty standard for Portuguese hotels/ BandB's but was very well cooked. Beautiful scrambled eggs and freshly brewed decaf coffee when I requested it. We had a nice little cottage to ourselves. Loved the swimming pool in the 35 degree heat and the view. Beautiful little family farm only about 5 minutes out of Resende
Great view, confortable house. Full equipped kitchen, fridge & washing machine. Huge living room, TVs Wi-Fi, heaters throughout the house.
Fresh fruit & patatoes (free of charge) provided by the staff.
Most of the amenities of 5 star hotel without the price
Super friendly host Miguel! He made our stay so comfortable. The pool was nice and cool. The perfect place to relax and explore some of the beautiful scenery in the douro valley!
And the hotel ans garden are so beautiful.
