I balked a little when I saw the "by the hour" rates on a sign at check-in - mainly because of the noise that might entail. However, it was quiet as anything in the spacious room they gave me and I very much appreciated the kitchenette, which saves on going out for every meal.

Nice clean, comfortable hotel room. There was 3 of us in a room so the sofa-bed was used, which wasn't bad! Breakfast was a fairly typical American breakfast, constantly restocked and cleaned, with slightly different options per day. Concierge and housekeeping teams were very helpful and kept rooms clean every day. Good location - lots of local food options, quieter and comfortable, with easy access to Brooklyn and Manhattan too.

The proximity of restaurants and other convenient stores was positive. However, from a young receptionists who doesn'even smile to the old looking and dirty rooms were all trash.
The Post Office would bring my mails to the receptionist inly to be told that they didnt know anybody by name so they returned 3 packages back. This hotel doesn't qualify to be in the United States. So disappionting.

Queens has easy access to all the major attractions.Subway close, but badly designed for wheelchairs and prams.
Everyone we spoke to was exceptionally friendly, from help with our wheelchair,to advice and directions.
Lots of lovely places to eat.
Would happily recommend the area.

Why were there so many taxes. Is it just the Ramada Hotel?
Why were there so many taxes. Is it just the Ramada Hotel? Why is there a hotel tax and a room tax in addition to city and state taxes? I did not incurr hotel and room taxes a year ago at a Holiday Inn in Queens.

Queens is more modern and you have plenty of choices for food. I'm an Asian and the food in Queens are little bit different than Chinatown so really depends on the preference.
One thing I do notice are Queens has more Malls, big malls so is easy to shop for clothing. And also the hotel cost and parking are little bit cheaper than downtown. If you don't mind to take metro, Queens are good option.

There is a lot to do, many options to spend your day.
There is a lot to do, many options to spend your day. Hotels are close to the Airport- minutes away. However, everything is expensive, we came from spending a few days in Cleveland and everthing in Queens was more expensive, especially food.
The main purpose for our visit was to attend the US Open Tennis in Flushing. We have stayed at this hotel before as it is close to the subway and one train ride to the event. Also very convenient train or ferry ride into Manhattan. Parking is also less expensive than staying in Manhattan. Street parking also seemed to be readily available.
The are many food/restaurant options a short walk away.
In the Priceline apps hotel was mentioned as 4 star hotel . This is why I booked it but this hotel should not even qualify as 1 star . TV with no remote , dirty floor , dirty carpets , desk and light bulbs were not wiped for months . Beds were very uncomfortable.
Priceline should check the hotel before listing ad 4 star . If you need more pics or videos please let me know . Waste of money
My attention was focus on the hotel being the cleanest I have seen even in 4 star hotels. There are plugs in on each floor which gives it a welcoming atmosphere. The staff is amazing. and will respectfully stand as you pass or approach them. When I visit NY again I will most definitely stay here. I will also recommend to my friends to stay here in Flushing Queens vs Times Square.
The hotel is simple, clean and comfortable for a short stay. The staff is friendly and helpful. There is 24 hour tea and coffee in the entrance. It is within easy access of La Guardia airport, either by taxi or by public transport. There are dozens of shops and restaurants in the area and Chinatown in Queens is very close by.
We live in NYC and wanted a stay-cation adventure evening exploring Flushing. The John Hotel was very reasonably priced, and perfectly fine. Clean, tasteful decor. Would totally stay there again or recommend to a friend. Easy to access from the subway, near lots of restaurants, cafes etc.
The best part was the staff. I've stayed at 6 different hotels over the past year and every one of them I had a bad experience. This hotel has a great staff and that made the difference. I go to Long Island City for work and will stay here again as well as have my co-workers stay here.
I needed a place to stay for 4 nights while my friend and I explored New York and attended a concert at Madison Square Garden. The Flushing Hotel provided affordable accommodation close to a subway station which meant that getting into and out of town was straight forward.
Buffet-style buffet with many options and good quantity. Room was good size and everyday cleaning was provided. Next to Queensboro metro station in LIC with 15/20 min direct access to midtown Manhattan. Staff was nice and attentive. Don't be put off by the hotel entrance!
A modestly priced hotel in what is basically an industrial area of Queens. Large room, fairly comfortable bed, good selection of toiletries an excellent choice at breakfast. A ten minute walk to the subway which will take you to mid-town Manhattan in about 15 minutes.
The hotel was very clean and the staff very, very friendly. the breakfast is basic but enough to fill the stomach at the beginning of the day. We are a family of four and we can strongly recommend this hotel for a short stay, we stayed two nights and it was perfect.
Clean, spacious rooms, cool views of the bridge. Hotel hosts a lot of parties it seems but it didn't disturb the noise levels in our room. Easy to access midtown Manhattan via car/taxi, Long Island City has lots of nice small restaurants, parks, and views.
The price for a room including breakfast was the best value for money I could find.
The proximity to 21st st Queens bridge subway station was good. About 6 minute walk. Subway into Manhattan about 20 minutes.
Staff are friendly and helpful.
Nice modern hotel in a good Queens area, just a block from the Subway line that is a mere few stops to Midtown Manhattan. Breakfast decent. Parking at hotel at reasonable price is a plus, and right off main roads.
TownePlace Suites Marriott Long Island City is a lovely hotel close to restaurants, the train into Manhattan and has comfy, clean rooms with a friendly staff. We enjoyed our stay here.
Our flight was cancelled. Booked this as the first available hotel on Booking.com. I had no expectations but was very pleased. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was adequate.
Very clean hotel nice bedroom and sheets! There’s a airplane shuttle but only runs every hour. very close to downtown Flushing only 10 min walk to places like New World Mall
The best part about the hotel is the convenience of getting to and from JFK. The shuttle service made it an easy journey. The room was very clean but just super outdated.
