From the moment we arrived until the time we departed, we were enchanted by the historical charm and warm hospitality of this magnificent hotel. The interior of the hotel is a treasure trove of history. Every corner seemed to have a story to tell. The hosts of Château des Faugs were incredibly kind and accommodating, making us feel right at home from the very beginning. It was like staying with good friends who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Set in Ruoms, in a historic building, 13 km from Pont d'Arc, Château De Chaussy is a recently renovated holiday home with a seasonal outdoor swimming pool and garden. We booked 2 self catering gites for a family celebration. One had aircon which was wonderful. We bought fans from the nearby supermarket for the other. They were needed as it was exceptionally hot 38 / 39C while we were there. The gites are modern and well set up with everything you need. There are washing machines available on site. The swimming pool is excellent, as was the play area for children. It is in a good location and it is an easy walk into town when it is cool. An excellent supermarket is two minutes drive away. All the delights of the area are within an easy drive. There were evening events if you wished to take part and a fabulous BBQ and disco once a week. They know how to party! The hosts/owners were very friendly and helpful.

In the heart of the Ardèche tourist region, the Château de la Selve gîtes, a beautiful 13th-century residence, offer top-quality facilities in an exceptional setting. My wife and I spent 9 nights, holidaying at the stunningly beautiful Chateau de la Selve. Our gite was extremely comfortable, tastefully presented, very well equipped and scrupulously clean. The expansive park-like grounds were delightful. A very tranquil and relaxing, well managed venue in which to unwind in comfortable accomodation, surrounded with unspoilt panoramic views. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners and staff, who were extremely welcoming and helpful. A wonderful holiday at Chateau de ka Selve. We would most certainly revisit a d highly recommend.

Offering a seasonal outdoor pool, Manoir de Champvert is located in Les Vans. Free WiFi access is available in this country house. A comfortable, quiet and beautiful location with a lovely pool. Good air conditioning.

Set in a 19th-century château, Château Clément - Teritoria is located just 500 metres from the town centre of Vals-les-Bains. We stayed for five nights in the Chateau’s apartment and as a base to visit the Ardeche region. The apartment is decorated in a modern style, with a fully equipped kitchen (including washing machine and dish washer), and air conditioning. There is also an exquisite jacuzzi bath. We appreciated the space, outside of the main chateau, yet with access to all the facilities, notably the pool (which was ever so refreshing in the late afternoon). We only had breakfast once, which was delicious (even made us omelets), and just beautiful taken from the Chateau’s terrace. It was a short walk down the hill through the Chateau’s park to the town (Vals-les-Bains), with all of its facilities and activities (we enjoyed the Summer concerts in the public square). It is a (short) climb coming back up, but good exercise after a meal! All the staff at the Chateau were incredibly friendly and informative. A very relaxing holiday here, which we thoroughly enjoyed!

Offering inner courtyard views, Gîtes de la place du château is an accommodation situated in Salavas, 7.2 km from Ardeche Gorges and 5.7 km from Chauvet Cave. Convenient location, friendly hosts, nice kitchen, cool to be in a castle.

Le Manoir du Raveyron in Vallon-Pont-dʼArc provides adults-only accommodation with a garden, a terrace and a bar. We spent a very good time in this hotel. The hosts are very friendly and provide an excellent service and a fantastic breakfast. The room has a big bathroom and was perfectly clean. The hotel is very nicely located in a quiet street where we never had problems finding a parking spot. The center of the village with restaurants and bars is within walking distance.

Offering a garden and quiet street view, Maison du Manoir is set in Vallon-Pont-dʼArc, 6.6 km from Ardeche Gorges and 5.1 km from Chauvet Cave. The relaxed charm of the courtyard - so close to the village center.
