At the country house, the units come with bed linen and towels. It was in a very quiet and rural setting. But what we liked most was the hospitality. Antonio and Liliana were amazing! The went over and beyond to accommodate us. I notified them in advance that my husband has to eat Gluten Free. Liliana went shopping for special ingredients and had many GF options. We were amazed at the effort she put in to provide a safe breakfast for him. It was sooo appreciated! Antonio was also a gracious host! He gave us many suggestions for hikes, restaurants, etc. and then presented us with a bottle of wine after check-in! We felt so welcome!

The Ponte Pedra - Melides Country House Adults Only is 7 km from the small and quiet village of Melides and 10 km from the centre of Santiago do Cacém. The property features a bright green garden and is 7 km from an area with beaches, lagoons and greenery. Great place. It is QUIET. I loved it, but make sure this is what you want! The staff is really friendly and helpful, the breakfast was fresh food and deliscious. It was easy to drive to beaches, restaurants, etc. The pool area is, of course, beautiful and peaceful.

All units offer a rustic-style décor with sloped wooden ceilings and a fireplace. With a fully equipped kitchen or kitchenette, all accommodations have a private bathroom. Was a “home feeling” coming there. Cleaned, well-organized housing. Calm and relaxed place. The host was super service minded and very kind.

On-site activities include horse riding, and hiking. Vila Nova de Milfontes Beach and the Atlantic Ocean are a 20-minute drive away. Portimao Airport is a 1.5-hour drive away by car. Free parking is available. Amazing place to rest and relax! Very quiet and comfortable. The host, Mr. José is one of the kindest person I’ve ever met, he tries to make you feel at home. Amazing breakfast with an amazing orange juice. We had access to the kitchen where we could cook to ourselves, get coffee or drinks. Pet friendly. Room was very clean, absolute peace. Also, they let you charge your electric car. I’ll definitely be back. thanks again José for the hospitality.
