Set in Paarl, 2.8 km from Boschenmeer Golf Course, Laborie Estate offers accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking and a garden. The room was beautifully renovated and decorated, the heated bathroom floor was a real bonus during the freezing weather. We dined at both Stoep and Suzanne restaurants and both experiences exceeded our expectations. The a la carte breakfast selection was creative and very well executed. As beautiful as the property is, it‘s ultimately the staff who can "make or break“ a place. What a pleasure it was to find an establishment where all the staff we encountered were exceptionally polite and helpful, from security guards at the gate, groundskeepers, reception, waitering staff and housekeeping. This may have been the best property I have visited in over 40 years. Staff made you feel like family. Everything was tended to immaculately. Large, spacious, historic property.

Set in Stellenbosch, in a historic building, 21 km from Stellenbosch University, Mooiplaas Wine Estate is a recently renovated apartment with a garden and barbecue facilities. It was an absolute delight to stay at Mooiplaas, even for one night. We were warmly greeted by Janine who took the time for a nice chat. The estate is beautiful, the wine is delicious and we felt like we were traveling back in time, staying in the very large room with old-timey furniture, a high ceiling and all in all just a lovely charm. Situated in Franschhoek, Le Petit Manoir Franschhoek features accommodation with a private pool, a patio and pool views. Located in the very center of Franshoek. Our room was facing the Mainstreet but the insulation is good and you will not hear it. The staff is very friendly, the rooms clean and the breakfast is awesome!
