The room was beautifully renovated and decorated, the heated bathroom floor was a real bonus during the freezing weather. We dined at both Stoep and Suzanne restaurants and both experiences exceeded our expectations. The a la carte breakfast selection was creative and very well executed. As beautiful as the property is, it‘s ultimately the staff who can "make or break“ a place. What a pleasure it was to find an establishment where all the staff we encountered were exceptionally polite and helpful, from security guards at the gate, groundskeepers, reception, waitering staff and housekeeping. It was an absolute delight to stay at Mooiplaas, even for one night. We were warmly greeted by Janine who took the time for a nice chat. The estate is beautiful, the wine is delicious and we felt like we were traveling back in time, staying in the very large room with old-timey furniture, a high ceiling and all in all just a lovely charm. Our room was facing the Mainstreet but the insulation is good and you will not hear it. The staff is very friendly, the rooms clean and the breakfast is awesome!
