It was only an overnight stay, the room was exceptionally clean and comfortable, with very friendly and helpful reception staff on arrival. The location was amazingly central to everything. I am planning to go back as this time was just an overnight stay, which gave us not a lot of time to look around before we had to leave the next day. What we saw was beautiful and we look forward to returning.

Most beautiful, very picturesque, short distances to travel, full of history, as a first time visitor all beaches were beautiful, all are favourite, ate at the pubs for lunch, good service and great meals.

Staying at the Nightcap Hotel Victor was within a short walking distance of the main street for Cafes, takeaway food and shops . A short distance to Granite Island Causeway which you can walk over to the Island or catch the Horse drawn tram which is a wonderful experience for young and old. The hotel is a short walking distance to the Museums and the train Station for the Tourist train to Goolwa and Back. Victor Harbor is a good base to drive and explore the close towns of Goolwa, Port Elliot and Middleton and also the Fleurieu peninsula.

    Lovely town with gorgeous buildings.

Lovely town with gorgeous buildings. Easy to walk around lots of restaurants and cafes. I recommend going to the information centre in town, we found the staff super helpful. The scenery is beautiful, if you have a car there are plenty of lovely drives and small towns around Victor Harbor. We were there in April so recommend bring jackets and umbrellas. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We did the train to Goolwa, it was ok just disappointed the steam engine wasn’t running. We had takeaway at Noodle Bento in the main shopping centre, delicious! Chicken Laksa and Mongolian Beef, thumbs up! Nino’s for coffee and their egg and bacon rolls another thumbs up!

Victor Harbor is always a nice place to visit.

Victor Harbor is always a nice place to visit. We walked to Granite Island and around the main part of town. They had the Artisan markets plus the general Sunday markets which are always fun to visit . Even though it was a long weekend the supermarkets were opened if you needed to purchase anything Dinner at Nino's did not disappoint, beautiful food and great service

Local life pleasant and laid back, quiet during the week,...

Local life pleasant and laid back, quiet during the week, busy on weekends as tourists flock into the area.. local pubs and restaurants cater to all tastes and budgets. The location offers many activities for families and all ages.. beaches, fishing, hiking. Several coastal townships nearby - literally 5 minutes away to drive, with so much history to explore. Regular local markets and activities, fun runs, art displays in the park, walks across to Granite Island, and much more... all free - with a few boat rides and train rides and even camel rides at reasonable prices. If you like the quiet atmosphere, skip school holidays.. but if you are OK with the friendly busy vibe.. plenty to enjoy for all.. sideshow rides and park stalls go up in busier times - ofcourse, the horse tram to the Island is a staple for all to enjoy.

Very clean and spacious rooms with well stocked kitchen and bathroom. The kitchen has everything you need for 4 people. We arrived late and ordered room service dinner from the onsite bistro and grill. I was not expecting much from this place but the sirloin steak with peppercorn sauce was excellent! The best steak I have eaten all year anywhere and it arrived at our room within around 20 minutes. Full sized dining table and refrigerator suitable for family. Large spa bath in bathroom with separate shower. Separate shower is good.

Reception staff extremely welcoming and friendly. Bartender very friendly, service with a smile. Views overlooking the gulf grounds looked gorgeous. Dinner was fantastic great choices of food, good quality. Pool area clean and well maintained. Beds big and very comfortable to sleep in. Carpark area big and spacious and facilities close to shopping center and only 5 minutes to main street of victor harbor. I would definitely come back again but not in a hurry.

Smugglers Inn studio apartment was just wonderful. All the extras including breakfast, bread, butter and jams, milk cereal's and coffee machine was a lovely extra. The room was spotless, the bathroom earth therapy products were exceptional. The Studio is right in the middle of Victor Harbor, easy to walk into town for food and shopping and markets but back off the main street so it was nice and quite. The pool look inviting but we did not have enough time to use it.

The cottage was light, bright, clean and comfortable. Perfect location for our time away in Victor Harbor. We enjoyed the quiet location and lovely views from the lounge and tree-top verandah. Beds were comfortable. The host left eggs from their farm which was lovely.

The whole experience went according to our planning. Victor Harbor HCP was a good base to operate from to visit family and friends and to enjoy the coastal environment. Easy access and egress procedures to and from the park. The park environment was very quiet.

Location was excellent, right across the road from the water. The room we stayed in was spacious (king sized bed), clean and comfortable. Room was quiet, even with the noise of the pub downstairs. Could hardly hear it. Would stay at this hotel again.
