Florence is a great place to visit, it has many museums and other historic/ art sites to see, it’s like walking back in time. It is easy to get around walking, except for the crowds. Definitely a place to visit during the offseason months Jan-March. It is suffering from overcrowding the rest of the time. They have turned most of the beautiful streets into flea markets. It’s weird how you can have luxury boutiques and cheap stalls almost next to each other. The food…it definitely has nice places worth a visit, but also a lot of overpriced tourist traps with mediocre quality. It is must to see the city’s main sites, but I would not come back just to enjoy the city.

Very crowded at times.
Very crowded at times. Especially in the core historic districts. I enjoyed the early mornings and later evening walks for the large open spaces and empty streets. It’s an absolutely beautiful city with amazing architecture and history. Just remember to look up too.
My favorite part on this trip was the early morning walk up to Piazza Michelangelo. Great view of the city.
There are so many places to eat and I have never wanted to wait in line at those very popular sandwich places. There is so much good food everywhere it seems silly to waste the day waiting in a line.

This was my first stay in Florence, so I focused on the "old town" area. I enjoyed the sights and the food, it was in easy walking distance from our hotel and the tram. On my next trip, I will probably stay in the same BnB and take some tours and try to get to the museums.

Florance is a geourgous city, an haven for art and culture and history. Perfect examples of Tuscony Kitchen, great bars and wine tasting places. However, it is rather crowded which takes the most of the joy out of it. My understanding of visiting a museum, art gallery is to be able to get immersed to the pieces displayed, have abit of a reflection and inspiration, not to wait in a line for hours and then circulate the venue amongst selfie enthusiasts and fast forward a glance to the magnificant pieces of art. Now that I am done Uffizi and Academia perhaps I may enjoy it the second time with only having leiasure walks at the other parts of the city.

The city (in the center) is terribly crowded
Locals, tourists, migrants, cars, scooters and horse-drawn carriages crowd the streets. Wherever you go and on whatever route, the same madness.
The city is dirty and smells everywhere of unpicked garbage and horse dung!
If it weren't for the prestigious works of art that are housed in various museums and palaces, this city would be unmissable!
Staff was perfectly efficient. It was very calm at night. No drunken shouting in the corridors, although the hostel was full. It was my first experience in a hostel. Mattress was hard orthopaedic - just how j like it for my back.I had a private room similar to the hotel. And I liked my stay.
Breakfast was an extra 9 eur. But it was a good buffet. Scrumble omlet was nice to have before exploring Florence. Not in each 3-star hotel you can get it in Italy.
Check out is at 10.00. But you can use luggage room for 3 eur per day. Convenient.
Good transport links to Florence and Fiesole.
In a very nice suburb but there is not much to explore. We have aperitivo near the hotel which was in a nice bakery.
Very comfortable room and clean. Very good shower.
Nice breakfast especially the pastries.
Fine if you're going to go out everyday.
Dinner was fine but a bit overpriced. €18 euro for a small primi, which is very different to the rest of Italy.
Wine selection is nice, again expensive compared to everywhere else in Florence
Wow! What a Fantastic treasure is this place in the best location in Florence. Very clean, vary spacious, super quiet. Even though you are 2 min from Ponte Vecchio, you can not hear any sounds due to double glass windows. Great A/C in the bedrooms to cool down in hit summer days. I've never stayed in a hotel in Italy with such a spacious bathroom. Large bath towls. Top quality vanities. I like the hardwood floors as it keeps everything clean too.
By far, this property was the best stay we’ve had during our 30-day Italy vacation. Our host, Andrea was very accommodating, made us feel at home right away. He gave us honest recommendations on places to go as well as restaurants (more for locals). His mom made daily breakfast with fresh pastries to die for. When in Florence, this is the place my husband and I will go back to stay in a heartbeat.
My husband and I spent 10 days in Italy, celebrating our wedding anniversary. I can say that from all the different hotels in several cities that we visited, this was our favorite place to stay in. The room was very clean and neat, the bathroom, view to the Duomo and all about it was just wonderful. Luisa was also super helpful and went out of her way to make our stay at great experience! ❤️
Without a doubt the best party we had in Italy! The residence is beautiful, very well decorated, the rooms and bathrooms are large, beds and showers are excellent. The staff is super kind and helpful, the breakfast is delicious, and of course, the cute dogs are delightful company. We will definitely be back and we will recommend it to everyone who stays in Florence 🙂
This is an Art and Design hotel where every details of the aesthetic is very well curated. Having previously lived in Italy for over a decade I was very impressed with how well the unit had been remolded to become an upscale and modern design hotel. Our room was very cute, and i felt the visual details, as well as comfort of the furniture was taken care of. Loved it!
The rooms were large, comfortable and had all the amenities you could possibly need. Staff were wonderful and helpful. Location was about 10 mins walk from every main attraction. Right near the main station too. The breakfast buffet was extensive and probably the best we had whilst in Italy. When I return to Florence, I will definitely be staying here again.
The hotel is located right across from the train station, which is why I chose it, as I was taking a train the next day to another destination in Italy. It was very convenient to store my luggage, spend the day in Florence, and then grab my luggage and catch my train. The room is small, which is to be expected in Europe, but comfortable.
Lucia, where do we start? You are amazing! By far the best stay to date travelling Italy. The photos do no justice. Clean, spacious, perfect WiFi, just everything PERFECT,PERFECT,PERFECT!! The upstairs terrace is to die for, THE BEST VIEWS IN FLORENCE!!! Thank you Lucia for an unbelievable stay. We will be back 👍👍🙏🙏
Location was fantastic, the front desk so helpful, and the decor is amazing. It's modern and central, and feels like an upgrade from many other hotels in Italy. Highly recommend you checking out the hotel for your next stay in Florence - I know I'll be back.
Also looking forward to visiting any other Milu locations.
It is close to all the major monuments in Florence, making it an ideal location to stay at for sightseeing the city by foot, it is also fairly close to the main train station (Firenze Santa Maria Novella). Thus, making traveling through Tuscany and other regions of Italy also easy from the hotel.
Was very clean, Marina (the manager) was polite and very cute. Is not far from city center (about 20 minutes on foot). Is important to mention that the rooms have air conditioning (is indispensable in summer time, especially in Italy :)). Everything was perfect, I definitely recommend this hotel!
The apartment and building are spectacular. The renovation and interior touches are a cut above any place I’ve stayed in Italy. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience except perhaps for some more dish towels in the kitchen!
I would stay here again in a heartbeat when in Florence.
The pictures do not do justice. This hotel is just beautiful. The backyard and the view out back is Tuscany! Monica is super nice. The breakfast was better than your typical hotel. The bed was comfortable. Water pressure great. Also, there is free parking, which is rare for Italy.
centrally located in town, a close walk to all the sights of Florence whole also being walking distance from the train station. Beautiful roof top view at night that over looks the whole town. Best breakfast of all hotels I’ve stayed at in Italy.
best hotel so far from my entire italy trip last month! got the upgrade, staff is super friendly and even give us pasta as gift. the location also very convenient specifically if you travel by train as it very close with train station.
I would say this is my best hotel for my Italy trip. First, the staff explain and recommend everything that you can explore in Florence including places and foods. The air-conditioning in the room is just good during the summer.
This was the best place we stayed in Italy. Comfortable like home combined with old school hotel. Staff were nice, rooms clean and comfy and very close to attractions. I would stay here again without hesitation.
The Hotel was in a great location near the Florence Airport. The Hotel also had an amazing outdoor patio where we ate an amazing dinner. Great place to relax after our 14 day tour of Italy.
