1-2 days maximum is more than enough. Food their is great and beautiful coffee, but do keep in mind everything is expensive as it is a tourist spot. Otherwise great location to visit. I visited Huka falls and Wairakei terrace hot pools which was an amazing experience.AkashNew Zealand - 10Scored 10

The motel was across the road from Lake Taupo with plenty of off road parking. The room was modern with a comfortable bed and a large bathroom. There was outside space to sit and have coffee and a lovely kitchen area with ample equipment. Great access to the lake front walking track. View of the lake was obscured but nice. Pillows in the rooms were amazing and so comfortable.
