The breakfast selection was fantastic and very good, nice portions.
The only thing I would have suggested is that when the wind blows, that the breakfast service be moved to the Homestead.

Stunning little cottage to escape to. Very quiet and peaceful with no one else in sight. No electricity but solar panels provide lights and a fridge. Great place to braai in between the rocks. Will definitely return. Helpful, friendly host.
The town was quite shabby and needed a proper clean up.
The town was quite shabby and needed a proper clean up. The stores were serviceable and had the right merchandise for quick purchases. Garages appeared to be too close together. The roads to and from the town were wonderful and setting splendid. It would be a beautiful sight if the town could present clean buildings with fresh paint.

A great location for a overnight travel stop when travelling to or from Cape Town, Namibia or Cederberg.
The town has a long history, with many well preserved buildings from the 1800's.
The conveniently located Bella Louise restaurant has a most delicious menu, lots of mouth-water dishes.

It is a wonderful little platteland town with stunning surroundings. The views of the Cedarberg Mountains is uplifting to one's spirit. Warm, hospitable people.
We dined at Bella Louise Restaurant and the setting was just perfect, all protocols duly followed, good food and friendly, helpful staff.
Clanwilliam is an easy place to get around and one would really have to go to great length to lose one's way.

Clanwilliam is looking rather unkempt.
Clanwilliam is looking rather unkempt. Many properties look as if they need a good dose of TLC.
There is not too much to see or do in Clanwilliam. Unfortunately for us, we had already been through Pakhuis Pass to TRavellers Rest and then via Biedouw Valley to Wupppertal to see where they make Veldskoene, but unfortunately, it was closed due to COVID infections.
The wild flowers were in proliferation in the veld wherever we looked. It was well worth the trip on the gravel road.
The unusal rock formations in Pakhuis Pass make the trip worth while. We made frequent stops to take photographs and simply gaxe at the splendour of the formations.
We had a most enjoyable evening at a restaurant - Michael's on Park. It is well worth going there if ever in Clanwilliam. Food was great, atmosphere was great and the venue is steeped in history.

Clanwilliam is the citrus capital of South Africa and a sweet little town with the famous big dam for water sports and camping and bass fishing, but its the gateway to the Cederberg mountain range and hiking , bouldering and for that its so amazing that very little can beat the nature experience, vast open spaces and mountain ranges, the rugged rocks and rock paintings.
Nelda was welcoming, friendly and very helpful. She advised us on things to do in Clanwilliam and went out of her way to get information on best spots to view the wild flowers.
The property met all my expectations and the thoughtfulness of providing fruit, milk, cereals, yoghurt, tea, coffee, biscuits for our arrival made it extra special. Many thanks Nelda for making our stay unforgettable. We will definitely be back. :-)
We were looking for somewhere to stayover for the night as were just passing through Clanwilliam. We opted for something not in the town and didn't really know where the property. To our joy we discovered it down a lovely gravel road near the town. We arrived as the sunset so had an opportunity to see the amazing location nestled into the mountains. Our little cottage was just lovely and right next to the river. Heaven!
The house is located in a secure estate along the Clanwilliam dam, it’s really peaceful and lovely to take an afternoon stroll and watch the sunset over the mountain. The gas heater was a lifesaver and made things warm and cozy. There are some lights and plugs available (limited) during loadshedding, so everything is not completely dark and offline.
The hosts were true ambassadors of the Cederberg region, and spent a lot of time giving great advice on what to do and where to go. They made reservations at the local restaurant, Michael's on the Park, which was steps away. The restaurant was excellent, and very romantic. Beds were super comfy and the gardening and pool area were beautiful.
Being in the middle of ClanWilliam, I did not expect this quiet oasis. Lots of privacy in the midst of fantastically lush gardens. Engaging staff, from owner to gardeners. They take pride in their establishment, and that shows in the service offered.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was comfortable and clean. Wi-Fi and other facilities were generally great. We appreciated that the hotel noted our prior request for a room away from the street - they gave us a room at the back.
As good as the facilities and room were the best thing about our stay was Ashley, the owner. She was born to be in the hospitality business. She went way out of her way to make our stay in Clanwilliam not a good stay but a great stay.
Really warm and friendly host. Bedroom most comfortable, with tea and coffee supplies and lovely rusks. Parking provided behind locked gate. Location within walking distance to our favourite restaurant in Clanwilliam.
modern, well-designed lodge with a fantastic and creative cuisine and a very friendly and attentive staff. It‘s in the middle of nowhere but at the same time close to the nice town of Clanwilliam.
We came for one night. This was the most simple B&B in Clanwilliam we had. The airco was not working only the fan and the temperature was 41 degree. It was very difficult to sleep with this heet.
Enid was very welcoming and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble, despite the load shedding. Annie cooks a wonderful breakfast. I'll definitely stay here again for my next trip to Clanwilliam.
Nice maintained property with lots of character. Very helpful host and staff who made our stay enjoyable. Great base for exploring the sites around Clanwilliam.
It was quiet and comfortable and even though we had a crises ay home we had the internet access! Great jacuzzi! Walked to the waterfall and the kloof! Awesome!
