We didn’t know what to expect from a “converted barn” - but it has been converted indeed. The rooms are thoroughly modern with all the amenities you would expect in a regular hotel room. The bath is ample sized with good hot water. The beds are solid, not saggy or poky. We slept the better part of 12 hours and it was the first good sleep we had had in days. The window is placed in the thick old barn wall so the windowsill is as big as a table. It overlooks a farm field with horses. The owner was friendly and helpful; checking in was super easy. It is not really remote though, only a short drive from the A9.
