This hotel was SUCH a surprise treat! My teenage son was performing at the Teatro Nuovo with his high school in Spoleto, and I booked this hotel because it had a pool. What I didn't realize was that it was a HUGE property with all sorts of animals (Donkeys, Turkeys, Chickens, Sheep...), a pool, tennis courts, futsal courts, volleyball, and more! The property was a little out of the way from Spoleto proper (about 15m) but it was absolutely spectacular. My youngest son fell in love with their dog Archie and frankly all of the animals. The owners could NOT have been more amazing! They helped us with our bags, had a lovely breakfast in the morning, and let us roam the property and hang out with all of the animals. We more or less had the property to ourselves as it was off season but there were 1 or 2 other couples there as well. We will absolutely come back to Spoleto and this spot will be our first choice!!!

The food is exceptional! The location is perfect and indescribable! From Casale Fusco you can see the whole valley. The inside is equally beautiful and the rooms are warm, comfortable, large and inviting. I can’t say enough about what a great time we had!

After a long walk on the Via di Francesco staying at the Borgo della Marmota was a very welcome treat. The building itself and the grounds are beautiful and the interior is very tastefully decorated and very clean. The service was very good from the reception to the restaurant. Food was also excellent both at dinner and for breakfast - another welcome treat since most accommodations in Italy offer a very basic breakfast. It the best accommodation we stay at during our trip! Looking forward to visit again one day.

We had the most amazing time at this place! We were both feeling a little bit under the weather and the staff did everything to make us feel as comfortable as possible, they even made us soup and brought it to our room and refused to take any charge for it! Can’t recommend it enough!

We really enjoyed the beauty of the location for both the view and as a place to sit with our friends and enjoy a glass of good wine! Their dinner was excellent and we highly recommend it. The breakfast the next morning was particularly good in selection and quality. The room was very charming and there was plenty of hot water. The proprietors were very personable and helpful.
