Every detail thoughtfully done. The view from the top of the hill was stunning and to see the birds and alpaca was very sweet. We enjoyed every moment and highly recommend staying if the opportunity presents itself.

We loved our stay at this property. The owner, Rod, was extremely friendly and very helpful. He went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. The farm and surrounding scenery were just beautiful and we would take long walks in the afternoon and evening, accompanied by one of their dogs. We had a chicken hang out near our back door and the cows at times were close by as well. Rod took us into the field to brush the Highland cattle, which we really enjoyed. The views of the hills, the bay and parts of the Port Arthur historic site were just gorgeous. We would definitely stay at Ruby‘s cottage again.

Taras Richmond Farmstay se nachází na krásném pozemku s vinicemi, olivovým hájem a řekou a nabízí ubytování ve venkovském stylu se snídaní zdarma a bezplatným Wi-Fi. LOVED IT! From driving down the well maintained farm track, to the warm welcome, to the animals, to the banter, to the breakfasts! Kim and Sharon are lovely hosts, and are passionate about what they do, where they live and the animals (farm and domestic) they share their lives with. They are also very easy to chat to. The unit we stayed in was perfect - and immaculately clean. The bed linen was hotel standard. The breakfast is delivered at a time between 7:30 and 8:30, and consists of warm, freshly baked bread, homemade jam, yoghurt, cereal, fresh fruit, juice, plunger coffee granules, and, if you are lucky, freshly laid chicken eggs (you cook them how you like them). I can't wait to recommend, and to revisit. The only negative comment is that I didn't get to see the new 'home' for their duck, known as Thousand Dollar Duck! A new pond was being installed for it. ☺️😂

Had a wonderful few nights at Rathmore. Call generously upgraded us to the Cottage so our little family could have some more space. Cottage is great for kids. Easy under an hour drive up to Maydena to ride. Shearers quarters would be a great location for a group as well. Beautiful property and we thoroughly enjoyed our time. Thank you!

The cabin is equipped with a full kitchen including a gas stove and a full size refrigerator. It’s clean, extremely comfortable and super quiet. Wi-Fi was banging! the views from Mt Rumney are spectacular. Now having said all of that remember that you are staying on a farm. There are animals and all the stuff needed to take care of them so you may see a pile of fencing material or farm equipment. I’ve stayed in cottages in the middle of vineyards that weren’t half as comfortable, welcoming and worth the value as this property. I arrived early and the host welcomed me with no issues. If you want a great place to stay without all the fru-fru I would highly recommend this property.

A comfortable home away from home in stunning surroundings. Welcoming hosts and everything you need catered for. I am a return visitor because I haven't found better and the value is amazing.
