Set in the heart of the beautiful Black Forest, the country-style Blumbauernhof Hotel offers a petting zoo, a garden terrace and rental bikes. This was the best stay on our 5 week trip through Europe. The farm was gorgeous, the apartment was pristine and beautiful. I can’t say enough good things. The family was so hospitable and kind. My son loved the animals and I loved the calm & quiet. I almost cried when we had to leave. The supplied a bed rail since my toddler sleeps with me which was so helpful. Blackout curtains in the room let us sleep in as long as we wanted. The apartment was light and airy, giving it a very calm feeling. Kitchen was well equipped and there is a great coffee machine with pods provided. Amazing shower, comfy bed. My son loved the trampoline and outdoor toys.

Offering a barbecue and a ski pass sales point, Hofgut Duerrenbuehl is set in Grafenhausen in the Baden-Württemberg Region. This holiday home features a TV and a coffee machine. It was very clean, out in the country. Has it's own beautiful little church right outside the property. The owners were very nice and spoke a little English. It is a working farm so you cannot run around and pet the animals. A good home base for visiting the black forest, although not very close to the sights.
