Located in Camacha, in a historic building, 10 km from Marina do Funchal, Quinta da Moscadinha is a farm stay with a garden and bar. Excellent service, beautiful property and location, nice and quiet. We also loved the restaurant above the hotel, we ended getting dinner there a couple times. Definitely would recommend.

Boasting a patio with city views, a rooftop pool and a garden, A Casa Estrelícia-Dourada Garcês can be found in São Vicente, close to Sao Vicente Beach and 16 km from Porto Moniz Natural Swimming... What an amazing find was this pearl located in Sao Vicente! We received a warm welcome from the hosts who really made us feel at home. The place is perfectly located with bars, restaurants, walks and the beach all close by. We've got to see all the rooms/apartments, which Elda beautifully designed; each with a different style. Clean, spacious, luxurious and comfortable. They make sure you have all the amenities plus extra. The villa and it's apartments have their own private terrace, all with a stunning 360 view of the whole area. Leonel, a wonderful, positive and life loving man, went out his way to make our stay the best stay on Madeira by far (out of our 7 stays)! Sharing his love for history and wine, which he makes himself, preserving his family old recipe and way of making Madeira wine. I would absolutely recommend doing a wine tasting with him. The villa has its own swimming pool, with a beautiful garden and feels homely, quiet and private. If you need anything Elda and Leonel will make sure they'll help you. You will not see them unless you want to, giving you a total private stay at this unique villa!

Set in Ponta do Pargo, in the west side of Madeira Islands Region, 35 km from Funchal, Casas da Levada boasts an outdoor pool and views of the sea. Free private parking is available on site. We stayed at Casas de Levada as a family of 4 and loved our stay there. The place is a great combination of charming rustic touches with a modern flair. Our kids loved roaming around the grounds checking out the bunnies and cats. We loved having breakfast in the cute kitchen with the fresh food provided and relaxing by the fireplace at night. Quinta das Hortensias is a traditional Madeira home located in Arco de São Jorge, on the north Coast of Madeira Island. The unit features views over the Atlantic Ocean and the lush Laurissilva Forest.... On the North side of Madeira, I sought out this lodging because I believed it would be quiet and beautiful, which it certainly was. In addition, the host Viriato was incredibly kind and responsive, with personalized recommendations and a connection to the lived life of the island. The cottages are nicely renovated old homes, both charming and comfortable which is my ideal in a stay away from home. The gardens and outside areas surrounding the cottage are expertly crafted places for taking in the sights and sounds of the ocean. There are several roads and paths where you can walk directly to the beachfront, and parking is easy if you brave the mountainous roads of Madeira. I Highly recommended!

Offering an idyllic setting in an Agroturism property, Casas de Pedra is located in Camacha, a Madeiran village located 12 km from Funchal city centre. It offers free WiFi access. I had an amazing stay at Casas de Pedra. The place is super well equipped and comfortable, every day housekeeping cleans the apartment spotless. The location is quite good- just minutes off the speedway, yet it is tranquil and peaceful. The attention to detail, the thoughtful small touches and the friendly and service oriented staff made the stay really exceptional.

Offering a natural lagoon, this 1.4-hectares property is situated on the plateau of Santo da Serra, in Madeira Island. The pet-friendly Quinta do Pântano, Agro Turismo offers free Wi-Fi. The location was as depicted. Serene and verdant mountain countryside. A quiet and tranquil venue. Very relaxing. Cottages/studios were very comfortable and cozy. Venue was within walking distance from locally owned restaurants, cafes, and small market. Very quaint. Locals were very friendly & receptive. The Sunday farmers' market is a must see and do

Casas da Luz by Madeira Sun Travel features sea views, free WiFi and free private parking, situated in Ponta do Sol, 1.6 km from Ponta do Sol Beach. The perfect villa for any budding explorer looking to enjoy the natural beauty that Madeira’s landscape has to offer, or fire safety enthusiast looking for the gold standard in both prevention and cover (should the silent assassin come knocking). Where should we start? Correct extinguishers; clearly labelled, easily accessible, all within close proximity of the hazard identified. Fire escapes clear from obstruction and surprise surprise, correctly signposted. Please also note the independently powered lighting in this escape route, a touch that didn’t go un noticed. Manual alarm points, correctly installed and labelled no more than 1.4m from the ground and fully serviceable (we checked). Fire blankets conveniently stored next to cooking hazards and what’s more, with English instructions. At no point during our stay did we feel our safety was being compromised by lousy fire safety protocols or unserviceable equipment. We slept soundly, knowing everything had been done to protect us.. because we all know… fire doesn’t sleep.

Featuring a balcony with quiet street views, a garden and barbecue facilities, Quinta Terezinha can be found in Ribeira Brava, close to Lugar de Baixo Beach and 2.9 km from Ribeira Brava Beach. Quinta Terezinha is the perfect place to stay if you are looking for a base to discover the island. The host Laura was so friendly and was really useful in providing information for the shops, restaurants and places to visit. The accommodation itself was perfect and exceeded our expectations. The farmhouse was lovely with comfy beds, a great shower and really clean. We didn't really make the most of the outdoor areas, but there are hammocks, a barbeque and sun loungers all with amazing views. As others have mentioned, you will likely become the owner of a couple of cats for your stay which we loved. On arrival, Laura had prepared a welcome hamper with some local exotic fruits, ground coffee and a bottle of Madeira Wine which was a lovely touch. If you run out or want any more fresh produce from the farm then the instructions are to just help yourself. What an amazing stay - just wish we could have stayed longer.

Moinho do Comandante is located in São Roque, in Madeira. The unit is in a naturally green property, which features a spring of drinkable water. Homes at the Comandante’s come with a seating area. The place is nestled deep in the mountains, it made our stay in Madeira very special and completely different from the last two days in Funchal. the setting is paradisiac, with a stream running right below the cosy little house. The hosts, Comandante Carlos and his wife Eleonora are amazingly sweet and welcoming, they care for everything and prepare a great homely breakfast with fresh local produce. It was an unforgettable stay!
