On the North side of Madeira, I sought out this lodging because I believed it would be quiet and beautiful, which it certainly was. In addition, the host Viriato was incredibly kind and responsive, with personalized recommendations and a connection to the lived life of the island. The cottages are nicely renovated old homes, both charming and comfortable which is my ideal in a stay away from home. The gardens and outside areas surrounding the cottage are expertly crafted places for taking in the sights and sounds of the ocean. There are several roads and paths where you can walk directly to the beachfront, and parking is easy if you brave the mountainous roads of Madeira. I Highly recommended!

The location is perfect, so beautiful and quiet, but still easily accessible to reach Funchal. All the staff are so friendly and helpful. The house was well equipped and had everything you could need.

When we think of paradise we think Quinta Terezinha! This hilltop country farmhouse is the perfect retreat for relaxation and solitude. The Hosts Laura and her father are excellent from attention to details and communication skills to providing special goodies upon arrival. There are many places to see on this island but we just did not want to leave the peaceful setting of this very special accommodation. Cats come with this deal and in my opinion make this place feel like home away from home. We love, love, love Quinta Terezinha and we how you will too!

Moinho do Comandante ligger i São Roque, på Madeira. Ferieboligen ligger på frodig naturejendom, som har en kilde med drikkevand. Everything! The location is a bit difficult to reach, but totally worth it. The buildings and the surroundings are taken straight off a fairy tale. The apartment is fully functional. The hosts are incredibly kind and friendly, and speak good English.
