Free water and fruit were also much appreciated.

They have wonderful views and it is lovely and peaceful. As we were the only people staying we had breakfast on the terrace which was lovely too - the garden is beautiful. The location is amazing, you wake up in between the banana and coffee trees and enjoy the amazing view of the valley. It's a charming, rustic wooden cabin, and it's veranda has a great view of trees, where we watched colourful birds all morning! We even saw the famous andean cock of the rock. So the veranda is the best place to relax. Its a very quiet hostal, not the most social but good if you just want to relax. It's a very short walk to the center too.EloiseGroup

We didn’t see much of the staff but they were responsive to WhatsApp. All about the location though. Also recommend the pizza at Cafe Europa and breakfast at Cafe Macanas, both a stones throw from the Casa Rosa.
