The rooms and the spaces are exceptional, a very peaceful place to stay, comfortable and beautifully decorated. The hosts are absolutely wonderful and went above and beyond to look after their guests. Fantastic attention to detail in every aspect and the breakfast was delicious!

Maison d'hôtes Alma is situated at walking distance from the train and bus station. It is a lovely oasis in a quiet neighbourhood, from which Bordeaux can be explored by foot of rental bike (e.g. Lime). Staying here was such a treat; even with 39 degrees C, indoor comfort was pleasant. The house is beautifully and sustainably decorated, with a green small terrace at the back, kitchen and living space that can be used by the guests. Inès was a perfect host, for nice chats, preparing healthy breakfast and giving advice on everything possible. I felt very much at home here and will certainly be back when in Bordeaux again.

The hostess let you fell like home and so much more! She papers you with her passion for hosting, she has a very personal approach what i loved very much. The breakfast is al you need and then extra. Im telling everybody that i now about this place, if i or somebody i now is going to Bordeaux that the place to stay! And like the hostess would say it fantastique 😁

My wife and her friend stayed in the hotel and this is her recommendation: Absolutely gorgeous small hotel in a very quiet neighborhood, that is well connected to the center. We loved the room, the Marie Brizard Suite. A perfect room for two friends because it has two very comfortable double beds in a loft style set up. One bed is upstairs in a lovely loft that overlooks the main room where the other bed is located. The bathroom is off the hallway. The room has its own separate entrance and so it feels very private. It also has a small beautiful balcony that looks over the principle courtyard of the hotel. The decoration and room decor is top notch. I personally loved the lightening and the tasteful wallpaper and artwork. It is so quiet at night, it was unbelievable. The breakfast is simple yet delicious and the host at breakfast, a friend of Pierre's, was accommodating and very friendly. I plan to stay at La Chartreuse again when I return to Bordeaux with my husband. An overall splendid experience. Highly recommended!

In particular we appreciated the importance that cleanliness & orderliness have to Antony, the host. For example, our bedsheets were completely changed after half of our 10-day-stay was over (without asking). Also on arrival he gave us a map of the city in which he had basically created a city tour for us - with sights he suggested seeing, restaurants & bars worth going and so forth. He is a very sympathetic host.

Booked the slightly bigger room, and it was really comfortable. The bed was huge (~1,75m wide), there was a small fridge and a sink available, with plates and basic cutlery for having a pre-prepared meal (no stove) Felt really cosy and the owner was very nice

we had an exceptional stay at La Course. From the moment we checked in the staff was very attentive to our needs. The house is meticulously decorated and our family guest suite Orensio was outstanding. There were so many added little details that made our stay memorable from the wine bar to the delicious breakfast and dinner recommendation. Looking forward to our next stay in Bordeaux!
