The location is good, size of the room and the comfort of the beds are great. We prefer hard mattresses as they support the back very well. If only they provided another pillow for each bed that would be great. Very near to the subway station as well as good food within walking distance. Definitely the STAFF! They are super friendly and welcoming. Most of them are capable in good english and willing to chat with the guest. Thanks to Natsumi, Yuji, Chaewon, Kiyoka, Mari, Yoshida san, Shion, Arisa and Erika. <3 The public area is right in front of the front entrance and super narrow which seems not enough space, but it actually has a really good atmosphere for making friends and talking to strangers. If you're a solo traveller or wanted to know new people, choose here!

The staff are incredibly accommodating and very kind. I arrived past the check-out time but the staff member stayed 20 minutes past and then took the appropriate time to show me around. Furthermore, the following day I had homemade strawberry jam that an elderly lady made that was taking care of the guesthouse. It felt like a very Japanese household. I fully enjoyed it. I wanted to stay another night but it was fully booked. In that predicament, the same staff member helped me by telling me another place. I’m very thankful.

Beautiful little place. -The hosts were just lovely. It has everything you need, kitchen and sitting area. -Dorm beds are comfy and even better, don’t squeak or move when the person in the other bunk moves. There’s a small sitting area in the 4-bed dorm. - It’s an easy 10 minute walk from Hakata station. - 5 min walk to Gion subway station - no real noise in the area at night - lots of lovely artwork and arrangement in the various nooks and crannies - washer and dryer (¥200 per load, 4.5kg) - very close to Canal City, Riverain Mall, Kawabata shopping street (all a 5 min walk)
