Beatiful garden with nice and comfortable terrace. Very nice view from the "family room" - also garden-like. Free massage chair in the hotel common area. Hotel offers free shuttle to Gora station. All staff members were very kind and we felt like at home.

The dinner was of great value and a great way to meet and connect with other guests. I loved cooking over hot coals. It was very fun and delicious. The whole building was very beautiful and old. It felt very authentic. The location is great. It is right next to the Hakone Open Air Museum.

The Hakone Tent guesthouse has large traditional Japanese rooms and is located close to the Hakone train station. The staff were really friendly and they've created a really fun vibe to the downstairs bar and relaxation area. The absolute best thing about the Hakone Tent guesthouse is the natural onsen they have - AMAZING. They have two onsen rooms, one which can be booked and the other is non-reservable (both are for private use only). The pictures don't really do the onsen justice; it's both rustic but also has all the facilities you need.
