Through Whatsapp, Jigmet gave us plenty of advice about all aspects of our trip in advance of our journey to Ladakh. We stayed in his family home for 3 days to acclimatise and 3 days at the end of our tour before we flew back to Delhi, and indeed, it really felt like home. It is located at walking distance to the town centre, yet it is in a quiet area. We stayed in 2 different bedrooms. Both were very spacious and clean, with an ensuite bathroom and many windows. The building features beautiful traditional wooden architectural sculptures. The bedrooms open to a lovely terrace where one can enjoy the sun on a lounge chair or a breakfast, lunch or dinner. Kunzes Angmo is a lovely motherly lady who cooks beautiful food. Bagerat is a young man who was always attentive to our needs, helpful and pleasant. Thank you all for your welcome. We miss you!

Mentokling Guest House and Garden Restaurant, a property with a garden, is set in Leh, 300 metres from Soma Gompa, 1.8 km from Namgyal Tsemo Gompa, as well as 6.1 km from War Museum. View,host,food ,staff everything was beyond expectation. Host help us in arranging the cab, permit for our travel. She even let us use her kitchen as we wanted to prepare some meal for ourselves.
