Villa Melodia is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the authentic and picturesque Cretan countryside. If you want to feel as if time has stopped, to forget about the clock and busy reality, this is the right place for you. The house is so charming that there is no passer-by who does not stop to take a closer look or take a photo. The garden is a paradise that smells of jasmine and rosemary bushes. The interior of the house is very warm, fully functional and very thoughtfully arranged down to the smallest details (from the washing machine, iron, coffee machine, to scented sticks and mosquito repellents, which we BTW did not notice). Everything is impeccably clean and tidy. Photos on the website will certainly not convey the beauty of this place to you, it must be experienced. The location is excellent, in any case, if you have decided to go to Crete, be prepared to drive, it would be a pity not to visit Chania, Rethymno, other small towns and villages nearby, and certainly beautiful beaches all along the island.The owner of the house, Maria Elena, will be at your service at any time, very warm and accommodating.

Most wonderful location we have ever been in Greece. We always look for special places not for hotels. If you are looking for a picturesque place to relax up on the hill between 2 villages having the most beautiful view of the sea and the area far away from traffic noise and agitation than this is the place to stay. If you add to this the elegance of the house , of the apartment , 3 view terrace and your own spa than you have meet your perfect vacation place. Imagine mornings having a Greek salad and a coffee with that view or imagine the evening when the Sun goes down enjoying the wine on the terrace. The apartment is very well equipped , is very spacious and has everything you need. Washing machine with detergent, dishwashing machine. 2 types of machines for coffee with the coffee included 😊 You will also have water, orange juise and milk in the fridge. You will also have a telescope for the full moon if you have the chance to see it one night or for the stars as well as one for the Sun. The host, Zafeiria , is not a host, is like going to visit your sister after a long time. She welcomes you with such pleasure and warm heart and is always available for anything you need. She greets you with a basket full with Olives, olive oil, oregano and wine all of them prepared or picked up by her personally. I have been amazed of how wonderful a host can treat its visitors. We have also received from her cherry tomatoes from her garden which added more local flavor to our salads and we have picked lemons from her lemon tree which made our morning tea super tasteful. The location is 9 km from the closest beach. Chania and Rethimnon are 30 km away one going to the left one to the right. I recommend visiting them both. Thank you Zafeiria for hosting us! We had a lovely stay. Host was very kind and brought us home made lemonade and fresh eggs. He gave us recommendations where to eat and what to visit. There was everything we needed in the kitchen, even scissors and corkscrew. It was comfortable and in a quiet area.

The owners are lovely and provided us with everything we needed including much fresh food in the fridge and olive oil. The garden is delightful and we enjoyed our meals outside with a view of the countryside. It was great to relax in after a day out. We loved the location as it was an easy walk into town and we had a car park. There is a local bakery and supermarket as well as restaurants. A lovely local village experience and a tourist office. The bus is easy to catch to Chania from the village square.

The owner of the wonderful apartment, Zafeiria. The apartment is big and very clean. It overlooks a beautiful view and has a huge peripheral balcony. Zafeiria provided us with olive oil she produces and spices from her garden. We really enjoyed and highly recommend this apartment.
