There are only three rooms with bunks available in the house, but the rooms are rather spacious compared to most we have stayed in in Japan. The bunks were sturdy and well made and the futon was more comfortable than most we’ve slept on. The air-con in the room is much needed in Japanese summers and the kitchen, although small, is good enough for prepping quick meals and is impeccably clean like the rest of the property. The showers are also fantastic and the bathrooms are great too. A wonderful place to stay overall. The owner, Kosei, is also very kind, welcoming, and a lovely person to deal with.

Wonderful all day, especially early in the morning and at sunset. Great restaurants and Atami Ginza as well as an amusement area close to the river all within a few minutes walking. The Japanese style room was minimalist but very nice and generous. The host was really charming and I would have stayed two weeks longer there but had to return to Germany.
