The hostel is very new and well organised. The whole place is very clean. Rooms are big enough to have plenty of privacy even in the dorm rooms. Breakfast is very good and there is very nice patio garden in the back. Ines (contact person) was very friendly and willing to help. There is not enough good words I can say about this place.

Azores Inn - Family Suites er staðsett í Ponta Delgada, í innan við 24 km fjarlægð frá Sete Cidades-lóninu og 25 km frá Lagoa Verde. Beautiful property, clean and spacious, freshly renovated with a modern finish. It had everything possibly needed, included AC to get cozier in the cold weather and a fully equipped kitchen. There's a free parking a few min away (Sant'Anna) and it's centrally located.

PDL Green House er staðsett í Ponta Delgada, 12 km frá Pico do Carvao, og býður upp á loftkæld gistirými og verönd. Very clean room, location in the center of Ponta Delgada, which was very convenient, and parking was available around the block (payment needed, though). The staff was very polite and helpful!

BRUMA HOSTEL er staðsett í Ponta Delgada, 12 km frá Pico do Carvao, og býður upp á loftkæld gistirými og sameiginlega setustofu. Good location. The main value was the host Martins who was very helpful and attentive, offering service before and after I arrived.

Ilha Hostel & Suites er staðsett í Ponta Delgada og býður upp á garð, sameiginlega setustofu, verönd og ókeypis WiFi hvarvetna á gististaðnum. Great location (few minutes away from the main square). Very good breakfast with both savory and sweet options, fresh fruits, coffee or tea. 24h access to the kitchen (there is possibility to cook as there is stove, oven, pots, cutting board and more!) with big fridge where you can leave anything (even marker and sticker are provided to mark your food). The fridge also makes drinkable water or ice cubes. In the small patio you can find ping pong table! Reception is friendly, ready to help, speaking fluent English. Code sistem makes it possible to arrive any time of a day. Rooms are big and spacious, with much space for unpacking clothes. Bathroom big as well, clean.

THE HOLY COW - Hostel & Suites er staðsett í Ponta Delgada, 12 km frá Pico do Carvao, og býður upp á loftkæld herbergi og sameiginlega setustofu. Gististaðurinn er með sameiginlegt eldhús og verönd. The approach of the owner and other employees was perfect. They were always helpful. The room was clean, we got new towels during our stay and the room was tidy every day.

Pé Direito er staðsett í Ponta Delgada, 13 km frá Pico do Carvao og býður upp á loftkæld herbergi. So, I'm normally not a fan of shared accommodation as I like to have my privacy. However, reading the reviews here I gave this one a chance and boy, I'm sure glad I did! The interior is modern and welcoming and everything is kept super clean. There are two private bathrooms which are shared, but only one person can use them at a time, which is great! There's a big fully equipped kitchen at your disposal and when I say fully, I mean FULLY. It has a dishwasher, an oven, all the utensils you might need and also many shared food items like spices, sauces, condiments etc. After you've eaten, you can have a smoke on the cozy little terrace. The bedrooms have three bunk beds. The beds themselves are comfortable. Maybe I was lucky with roommates, but there was a kind of unwritten rule that the bedroom is a "quiet" zone - as in if you wanted to have a phone call, watch loud videos etc while someone was sleeping, you went to the living room instead. Most people respected this, although not 100% of the time, but that comes with staying in a shared place I guess. The location of the hostel is central, just a few steps from the seaside. Many restaurants and bars nearby. I recommend visiting the military museum, which is very close to the hostel as well! Last but definitely not least, Ana was an amazing hostess. She speaks English very well, she's very pleasant and quick to respond if you're in trouble. I prefer going along my own axis, but others have said that she's capable of arranging/giving advice for almost anything for you on the island. I ended up staying longer than expected, only leaving for a private accommodation when I needed peace and quiet for my work. That being said, many people actually worked from this hostel without an issue! This was just a personal preference of mine. Again, thank you for the hospitality. I will definitely come back if I'm in the Azores again!
