Die geräumige Wohnung liegt im Untergeschoss und bietet mit ihrer ca 23 m/2 grossen Terrasse einen optimalen Platz für Familien mit Kindern. Es gibt einen kleinen Garten und man kann auch das Meer sehen. Die Wohnung ist vom Gehsteig aus ebenerdig erreichbar. Ideal für Kinderwägen oder Menschen die sich beim Gehen etwas schwer tun. Der Innenbereich ist sehr grosszügig ausgelegt aber nicht behindertengerecht ausgestattet. Ca 50m von der Strandstrasse entfernt, im Zentrum Puerto del Carmen´s, aber in einer Nebenstrasse und darum ausgesprochen ruhig. Links neben der Wohnung befindet sich die Arztpraxis von Dr.Rafael, der sich seit 34 Jahren um die Gesundheit der Inselbewohner kümmert und der sich auch, wenn notwendig, um Sie kümmern würde. Die Wohnung rechts wird an Touristen vermietet und die Wohnung darüber gehört einem irischen Ehepaar das nur teilweise Zeit auf der Insel verbringen. Die Wohnung ist voll ausgestattet mit Bettwäsche, Handtücher, Strandtücher..
Mein Name ist Traude Gföller, ich bin Österreicherin, aus Schladming und lebe seit 27 Jahren auf der Insel. Eine Entscheidung die ich noch nie bereut habe! Ich bin verheiratet und habe einen Sohn der in Madrid studiert. Ich erledige die Buchhaltung unserer Arztpraxis und bin Hobby Gärtnerin.
Keine 50m unterhalb der Wohnung liegt die Strandstrasse und gleich darunter befindet sich eine kleine Bucht, die gerne von Einheimischen genützt wird. Ein Stückchen weiter, unterhalb des Tourismusbüros, befindet sich ein etwas grösserer Strand. die dort wachsenden Palmen bieten etwas Schatten und die von Steinen umrundeten Ausbuchtungen laden zu einem sehr intimen Strandgefühl ein. An diesen beiden Stränden gibt es keinen Service wie Duschen, Toiletten oder Sonnenliegen. Um diesen Service zu geniessen muss man an den grossen Strand, der sich auch in unmittelbarer Nähe befindet. Auf diesem Strand beginnt alljährlich im Mai der berühmte Ironman in Puerto del Carmen. Auf der Strandstrasse finden sich unzählige Restaurants, Bars, Banken und allerlei Geschäfte. Der Bäcker und Supermarkt befindet sich ganz in der Nähe der Wohnung. Von der Strandstrasse links können Sie, beim Flughafen vorbei, bis nach Arrecife gehen oder mit dem Rad fahren. Halten Sie sich rechts, können Sie, am alten Hafen vorbei bis Puerto Calero gehen. Und fast die ganze Strecke mit dem Rad fahren. Das grosse Sportzentrum Fariones, der Golfplatz, die vielen Tauchschulen bieten Abwechslung.
