East Cawledge Farmhouse is a none working farm located in a quiet area on the outskirts of Alnwick - only a short walk from Alnwick town centre. Our ensuite Barn room was developed in spring 2019 to offer ground level ensuite accommodation and styled to provide a calm and comfortable stay - suitable for couples (Sorry no children) . This accommodation is room only - we dont provide breakfast but there are several coffee shops, restaurants and hotels nearby who offer breakfast at reasonable prices that we can recommend. WE are located within 1 mile walking distance of Alnwick and all its attractions and amenities including Alnwick Castle and Gardens WE are also a short drive from beautiful beaches and tourist locations such as Lindisfarne and Bamburgh Castle We have ample private parking for guests cars and can also provide secure storage for those who wish to bring their own cycles there are lots of cycle routes close by Sorry we cannot accommodate pets. East Cawledge maintains a No Smoking policy Check in is 4.00pm-6.00pm (only) Check out 10.30am
We pride ourselves in providing a warm welcome and a quiet and friendly atmosphere throughout your stay. We have lived in the area for many years and are keen to provide advice and recommendations on local attractions, places to visit and where to eat.
There many places and attractions to visit, accommodating all tastes and interests all within a 30 minute travel, such as - many beautiful beaches and countryside areas Alnwick Castle Alnwick Gardens Gragside House and Gardens Alnmouth Village and beach Craster and Dunstanburgh Castle Seahouse and Farne Islands Bamburgh Castle and beach Holy Island and Lindisfarne Castle Hadrian's Wall (only 60 mins away) Edinburgh (50 mins by train or 2 hours by car) There are many good quality restaurants in the area to suite all tastes such as The Oaks Hotel, The Hogs Head, The Alnwick Treehouse, The Cook and Barker, The Boat House, The Lobster pot - we can recommend many more places to eat to suit different tastes and budgets.
