Wear a hat if you are landing as the Terns peck your head if they can. Wear warm clothing for the boat trip as it can get very cold and wet. The sight of all the different birds fishing or returning with their catch. Check out the seals,if you are very lucky you might see a couple of Dolphins.See the Lighthouse where Grace Darling rowed their boat from to rescue all those people,a special lady, very brave!!.

A small harbour village so not a lot there but was lovely. Lots of boat trips out to the farne islands, which we didn't do on this occasion, but would should we return. Bamburgh Castle and Lindisfarne island visible from the harbour and would definitely recommend a visit to these.

A stunning place to visit for wild life would recommend out of season as it gets very crowded. Take the full day trip if you can to truly absorb the beauty of the surroundings. Wear good shoes, carry water, hat, rain gear, sun cream and hat. Take lunch with you as there is nothing to buy. Fabulously unspoilt.

The boat was fantastic, the skipper gave us a real close up view of bird life as well as the seals. His back ground knowledge was fantastic. Just a small tip please take a coat on the twilight cruise as it gets a bit nippy out at sea.

Depending upon weather and sea swell, you do not always know where you will disembark on the Farne islands. but wherever it is, you will not be disappointed. You will normally see grey seals and many bird breeds that breed on the islands. Often, you will see and go up the light houses there. Some trips specifically take them in if that is your desire. Sun set trips are also available.....

A must-go to! Never seen so many birds in one place.

A must-go to! Never seen so many birds in one place. Don't forget your hat to protect from the arctic terns - they are very protective of their chicks and peck you on the head if you're too close (it doesn't really hurt).

Property right in the middle of Seahouses with a great view across harbour. 100 yards walk to Black Swan which is a lovely pub with great food. Recommend a booking but also, if you are prepared to wait, tables become available in the bar. Boat journey to Farne Islands is only 200 yards away. Seeing all the birds was great. Puffins April to July is a must.

Great Bar with spectacular views of the harbour. Food, fish and chips, and the breakfast was amazing. Parking available, I did not see it, I was re-inburst. Great room with comfy bed. Beautifully decorated. Quiet room in a perfect location. Beautiful walk around the harbour, to the beach and views of Bamburgh castle, Farne islands and Holy Island. Highly recommend this hotel. Perfect location.

Breakfast was excellent. Our pet was welcomed. The location was wonderful with a walk across the road to the sea, a sweeping sandy beach with a view of the Farne Islands. The hotel has recently seen a good amount of investment - and this was abundantly clear - great and spacious bathroom. Comfy bed, not a huge room, but much more than adequate, clean and comfortable communal areas. I liked the 'gift' on the pillow (eye shades, made very good use of these).

A fully refurbished hotel with an excellent view of Holly Island. Great location: very close to Bamburgh and its stunning castle and beeches with dunes. Also close to the town where we took a boat to Farne islands and had our suppers at different places to eat.

A very spacious modern apartment, imaginatively designed to give stunning views of the sea and the Farne Islands. Located in a quiet cul-de-sac in a modern housing development with easy access to the sea front and within walking distance of the centre of Seahouses with its shops, restaurants and Farne Island boat trips.

We loved the location of the apartment, overlooking the harbour and enjoyed the far reaching views out over the North sea and across to Bamburgh Castle. The accommodation was very comfortable and clean. The village has all the facilities you need and has a nice variety of pubs , providing excellent food and several top notch fish and chip shops. We found the locals very friendly. We recommend the walk along the beach to Bamburgh and visiting the Castle, Lindisfarne and the boat trip to the Farne islands.

The location was ideal, within a couple of minutes of the harbour. There is a beer garden that has a view of the Farne islands and a wide expanse of sea. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food on offer was mainly traditional steak, fish and chips, but it was well cooked and arrived quickly. It is a lovely quirky hotel with little display cubby holes dotted around the corridors containing an eclectic mix of souvenirs and fishing related items.
