The New owner checked us in late the evening we arrived and was there when we left at 6:00 a.m. the next morning. The place has a rundown appearance, but the new owner is doing his best to make your stay a good one. The past owner let the place go down hill so he (the new owner) is reopening one room at a time as each room meets his approval. It is about a five minute drive to the ferry. I would recommend this motel.

It’s a little pricier than some of the motel options but it’s worth the extra in my opinion. My room was spotless and extremely comfortable. Breakfast was a bonus - it wasn’t mentioned to me when booking. And the attached pub had some good beers and served excellent food - something else which I didn’t expect.PeterSolo traveller

The location is about 10 minutes driving time from the ferry terminal. The restaurant officially closes at 20:00, but they were still kind enough to serve us when we arrived maybe 15 minutes before closing time.
