We stayed in a multiplex room; very nice with lovely patios. The individual cabins looked nice; I'd choose one of those next time. The other facilities and offerings were all useful: a lounge, laundry, and shovels and towels to borrow to help explore Hot Water Beach.

Beachside Resort Motel is less than 5 minutes walk from Whitianga centre and less than 100 metres from Buffalo Beach. The hotel has an outdoor pool and a tennis court. Exceeded expectations. However, expected sea views as per hotel name. A bit Fawltey Towers-- had to stand high on corner of room to see sea views between other houses in front of hotel. However everything else was perfect.

We were upgraded to a larger unit. Lovely space, well appointed kitchenette. Friendly staff, good facilities.
