Hótel Tindastóll ligger i kystlandsbyen Sauðárkrókur nord på Island, og befinner seg en 90-minutters kjøretur unna Akureyri sentrum. This is an annexe attached to the oldest hotel in town. We had the biggest room and a view as well. There was heaps of space for our bags and cold weather gear. (We had a lot) Breakfast was very good, in a basement dining room that was decorated with heaps of memorabillia. There was a private natural hot spring in the grounds that was nice and hot. Staff were lovely and did our washing for us.

The area is beautiful, out in the "wilderness", but there is a cute town only 10 minutes away with restaurants. The kitchen was very well equipped, the showers had hot water. The room was cozy and spacious, warm as well, with a nice view. We saw aurora perfectly from here. The check in process was also extremely smooth. I would definitely stay here again!
