Everything was amazing! The pools are beautiful and each room had its own unique flair to it. The restaurant makes top notch food and will even make you local dishes for you to try out. Get the yellow rice! The owners treat you like family. They took us shopping and one of the staff helped us mail some things back home. The view does not get old. If you want to relax, come to this place!

If you are looking for 'ZEN' this is your place! In the hills overlooking the green rice fields and out to sea hubby and I were in heaven. We stayed in Villa Bougainvillia, a spacious, spotless, landscaped delight. The view was magnificent.. and from the infinity pool absolutely joyous. Full sun all day, no Mosquito's and total peace and relaxation. The staff have all worked here many years and are super efficient, kind, friendly and quietly go about their daily business without disturbance. I arrived "under the weather" and Sri our fabulous chef du cuisine and all round "fixer" did everything she could to help me, so I felt much improved afterwards...and boy can that lady can cook! Flavoursome, freshly bought ingredients went into our lovely meals each day either in Villa or at the lovely Boutique 4 table restaurant, which overlooks the sea. It was a real pleasure to taste the ' love' in her cooking, we enjoyed every mouthful.😋 Inside the Villa is tastefully decorated, comfortable and fragrant, no nasty "drain" smells, a hot, powerful shower pressure and plenty of clean, fresh smelling towels. Wonderful comfy bed too! The owners have thought of everything to make their guests comfortable and we certainly did. We didn't want to leave....but we will be back....100%! What makes Maha Hills so magical is without a doubt, the staff! We loved our stay and they treated us like family. They made our stay so very special. Special mentions to: Martika, Bagus, Udayani, Rezi, Erika, Anik, Darmi, Dayu, Agus, Tike, Demas, and Chef Jhon. Basically everyone we encountered made these Canadian guests (Beverly & Kami) feel like family. We indeed feel like we made new friends. We will sincerely miss these beautiful people and will highly recommend fellow travellers to stay with you !!!! Much love to you all!

Everything was perfect. We only stayed one night but if we ever come back to Bali this will be on our fave list. The room is huge and the beds are the softest and most luxurious in all of Bali. You melt into them. Our daughter compared the rest of the hotels beds to this one. Thanks for that. The pool view at sunset is the crown jewel. The location for dolphin tours couldn't be beat as our captain was able to drop us off and we walked straight into the hotel. We really enjoyed the restaurant food. We ordered onion rings, spring rolls, rice platter, spaghetti and the portions were so huge we kept as leftovers for the next morning. If you like a cold room, let them know ahead of time but by the time we swam and ate it was at a comfortable temperature. The restaurant is open concept so if you're eating at night you might want some bug spray. The Bali mosquitoes seemed to run to my daughter and I. The fridge is the room is really cold, our water and leftovers all had ice. Perfect for our water :) Rice tastes better the next day anyway so it was all good. Yes there are people on the beach selling tours and bracelets but you can't blame someone for trying to work. That didn't bother me at all, they were very friendly and respectful.

This is a wonderful hotel, situated on the sea. A perfect little spot to enjoy the sunset.The staff are incredibly helpful and gave us a free shuttle into town when we needed the ATM/restaurants etc. They were also helpful with organising day trips/taxis in the area. The hotel is a 5 minute scooter ride from the main beach in lovina but this is actually perfect as it allows some quiet time for relaxation away from the huddle and bustle of the town. Beautiful gardens and very comfortable room. Would highly recommend this as a place to stay.
