This is the perfect Ryokan experience! The secluded location (the drive is so worth your while!!!) makes for the perfect tranquil getaway, the private outdoor onsen overlooking a babbling brook and a forest where deer and squirrels come to visit, is just the best thing to enjoy after a busy day exploring the beautiful Izu peninsula. The room/suite was bigger than we’ve ever had in Japan. The staff are just so lovely and accommodating- special credit to Taiyo whose Emglish is excellent! The food was out of this world, with locally sourced (even the rice!) ingredients… we could not have had a better experience!

We enjoyed everything about our stay. The food was excellent, the room was amazing and most importantly the hospitality was top rate. We were looked after by Miwa for both our meals and she was brilliant. I hope we can make it back someday.

The staff member was kind to host us. I could enjoy a small size Onsen (There are two types and they are perfect for single or small group). Breakfast was really delicious to try (Fresh Japanese style food including Kinmedai fish). The room was clean and quiet. The staff member kindly accepted late check in as the arrival time was after the official check in time. After check out, the staff member dropped us to Kawazu station (Closest station at the accommodation is Imaihama Kaigan station and it is 1 stop away from Kawazu, fYI.) so we could save time to visit places.

Staff were amazingly hospitable, the private onsen attached to our room was beautiful with an amazing ocean view. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone who wishes to see what a quiet Japanese town is like bby the seaside while still getting an amazing luxury experience.
