Boasting an open-air bath and views of mountain, Onsen Guest House Tsutaya is a recently renovated ryokan situated in Hakone, 6.5 km from Hakone-Yumoto Station. The indoor and outdoor onsen were beautiful and comfortable, as was the lounge. The staff was also exceptionally friendly. This is an excellent choice for a traditional onsen experience with modern comfort.

Kusatsu Onsen Eidaya is located in Kusatsu. The property is a 10-minute walk from Kusatsu Yubatake and Kusatsu-Onsen Bus Terminal. Everything!! Superbbbb services from all staffs🙌, great facilities, yummy breakfast in Japanese style. The room is clean and big, also has a very big screen TV with Nintendo famicom!! The owner was very nice and helpful, he speaks English very well, he showed us all facilities in the ryokan, so so impressed with his service. The ryokan also has a shuttle service to the bus station. I would give 100 score out of 10 to this ryokan.

Opened in 1878, Fujiya Hotel features Meiji Era architecture set in Hakone’s natural beauty. The hotel itself is absolutely exceptional, and probably the most impressive luxury hotel I've ever stayed. If you enjoy the history exploration and the Japanese-western style, Fujiya definitely will be a great fit. The hotel finished its renovation 2 years ago and everything is in good condition. You can experience its glory and rich history since the majority of areas are free to explore for staying guests. (Do not miss its museum, library and garden. The swimming pool is a bit small, and personally I quite enjoyed its style.) In fact, my friends and I spent so much time exploring the hotel itself, the time spent in Fujiya hotel eventually became the highlight of our Hakone trip.

Hot Spring Inn Hakone Suisen offers a hot spring bath and free private parking, and is within 4.2 km of Hakone-Yumoto Station and 3.6 km of Kowakudani Station. The interior, amenities and the room itself felt very luxurious. The onsen is great, especially if for first-time enjoyers.

Providing lake views and a garden, Chuzenji Pension offers accommodation in a prime location in Nikko, within a short distance of Kegon Falls, Chuzenji Lake and Chuzenji Temple. The owner gave us a syperb room with lake view. The meals are so delicious and the staffs are so welcoming.

Set in Hakone, Centurion Hakone Bettei offers 4-star accommodation with private balconies. There is an in-house restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available. What a special stay, experiencing Japanese hospitality at its finest. Such a relaxing time and loved use of the private onsen that can be reserved on check in.

Situated in Tokyo, 300 metres from Asakusa Fujiasama Shrine and 7.5 km from the centre, cyashitsu ryokan asakusa features air-conditioned accommodation with free WiFi, and an open-air bath. Wonderful and attentive staff, great location, beautiful onsen, clean rooms and facilities, general calm and quiet of the room itself. Yuka, Taiga, and the rest of the staff are brilliant!
