Kusatsu Onsen Eidaya is located in Kusatsu. The property is a 10-minute walk from Kusatsu Yubatake and Kusatsu-Onsen Bus Terminal. Amazing service, we were received with a warm welcome and complementary drink. The host was very helpful with answering all our questions. He also helped us with the takkyubin service organizing everything. The accomodation had a lot of facilities like an entertainment room with old arcade games and several private onsen bathrooms. Our room was also equipped with a private Nintendo gaming console. We loved to play the games again we used to play as a small kid :)

Chuzenji Pension ligt in Nikko, op 9 minuten lopen van Kegon-watervallen en 16 km van schrijn Nikko Toshogu, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis WiFi en gratis privéparkeren. Als je ooit in Nikko wilt overnachten? Op 20 minuten van de Shinkyobrug ligt dit pension aan het meer van Chuzenji. Super vriendelijke mensen die ook wel wat Engels spreken - evt uitleg in het Japans is prima te volgen. Halfpension is inbegrepen bij de overnachting en dan krijg je stipt om 18.00 uur een 6-gangen diner en in de ochtend stipt om 08.00 uur een ontbijt. Het ziet er niet modern uit maar dat heeft zijn charme - het is er schoon en de bedden liggen heerlijk. Je kunt gebruik maken van een private onsen - ook als je tattoos hebt. Parkeren kan op het terrein.

Oyado Yukizumi ligt in Kusatsu, op 46 km van Jigokudani Monkey Park, en biedt accommodatie met gratis WiFi en gratis privéparkeren. De accommodatie is rookvrij en is gelegen op 14 km van Mt. I love the variety of food on my plate when i got my breakfast and it was brought to my room on time that I requested them in. Having the Coffee maker in my room made it easier to get my caffeine fix, not that LAWSON (convenience store) was far when it was literally just downstairs, that couldn't have been closer. And that Bus terminal just outside the Hotel? right on the spot where i need it to be. And did I mention they have in-house HOT SPRING? Yeah they do!!! Would definitely recommend to anyone thinking of going to the area.

Ryutakuzenji 宿坊 is gelegen in Takasaki, op 28 km van Spoorwegmuseum Usui-tōge Tetsudō Bunkamura, en biedt accommodatie met gratis fietsen, gratis privéparkeren, een tuin en een gedeelde lounge. Everything just 10/10, we really appreciate the traditional japanese style bedding, warm and comfortable. Thank you so much for your caring and kindness!

Minakamisansou is gelegen in Minakami, op 36 km van Skiresort Gala Yuzawa en 39 km van Naeba skioord, en biedt accommodatie met een gedeelde lounge, gratis WiFi en gratis privéparkeren. Food was delicious, the rooms very nice and clean and there were several hot spring baths so it didn’t feel crowded at all. Would definitely stay there again.

Hanaingen is an adult only accommodation situated in Kusatsu, just a 2-minute walk from Yubatake, or the hot water field in Kusatsu Onsen. This was one of my favourite stays during my trip to Japan! Our twin room was cosy, comfortable and so clean. The beds were the comfiest we had in Japan; I had the most relaxing sleep while staying here. We absolutely loved the breakfast we had, and everyone at the hotel was so kind and friendly. Their hospitality was the highlight of the trip! We stayed two nights and the chef made us a different meal each morning, and took us through the dishes as he brought them to us, and we were given delicious welcome sweets and matcha when we arrived. The breakfast room was so cosy with a fireplace and free coffee and tea. The location is excellent and easy to find; it was only a couple of minutes walk to the bus terminal and to the Yubatake, which is where most of the shops and restaurants are located. The four private onsen are also wonderful. We got to try out two, and we never found that we had to wait or miss out on using one of them when we wanted to. I loved the little baskets containing towels, pyjamas and toiletries that we were given. There are plenty of toiletries available in each of the onsen, and the pyjamas were so comfortable I wish I could have brought a pair home!

Soumeian bevindt zich in Kusatsu, op 47 km van Jigokudani Monkey Park, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren en een gedeelde lounge. The real Japanese design for overall accommodation are excellent. The service of the three people ( may be the owner) are very warm and kindness.

Sekizenkan Kashotei Sanso is gelegen in Nakanojo, op 49 km van Naeba skioord en 36 km van Ishidan-gai Steps, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis WiFi en gratis privéparkeren. This is a magical place, a night there felt like a week of rest. The meals were perfect and the staff the sweetest.

Houshi Onsen Chojukan ligt aan de rivier Houshi, en biedt een openbare warmwaterbron, accommodatie in Japanse stijl, gratis WiFi en een Japanse keuken. The onsen is amazing, they all have a great atmosphere and they have a mixed one. Great dinner and breakfast too!

Oyado Tamaki biedt zowel binnen als buiten warmwaterbronnen en een traditionele tuin met bankjes waar u kunt zitten en ontspannen. The property is near public transportation, which is a big plus for a solo traveller without a car. I took a room with a private onsen, which was really enjoyable. The dinner and breakfast were all excellent. The staff were very nice and accommodating. I really felt warm-hearted when they tried to explain the dinner menu in english and did a handwritten english translation of the breakfast menu. They also offered to drop me off at the bus station and reminded me when to expect the bus. It was incredibly sweet. I do love the area as it was a good break from the city’s hustle and bustle. The Ikaho footsteps is about a 5-minute walk. It has a lot of shops so it is a good distraction while climbing the stairs.
