The property features garden and inner courtyard views, and is 17 km from Daijyouji Temple. The ryokan offers parking on-site, a hot tub and full-day security. Our host welcome was fantastic, despite a much earlier arrival than planned. The room, which is in fact a building inside the small temple complex, is huge and would host 4 peoples without feeling cramped at all. The bathroom is very big and modern. No dinner option but our host had booked for us at an excellent fish restaurant 100 meters away (Yoshimuraya), and even waited for us when we made our first stroll in Ine Funaya to propose to anticipate our reservation, as he could see we were hungry :). Breakfast brought to our room was excellent. In the morning we had a small walk in the cemetary which is also in the temple complex, climbed a little bit to have a viewpoint (just above the room) and we met a family of deers - this stay was wonderful !

The private bath was amazing as well. The location was the best, close to many of the top Kyoto sights making travel very convenient and limiting our total travel time.

We had the entire first floor to ourselves which had all amenities we could've possible needed.

All units in the ryokan are fitted with a kettle. There is a private bathroom with bidet in some units, along with slippers, a hair dryer and free toiletries. At the ryokan, every unit is fitted with bed linen and towels. The room was excellent, and the bathroom overall, extra space, facilities etc.
