The house is very big. You have all the comforts of home and then more. Location is excellent. So easy to walk to Lourmarin and enjoy the quaint little town. Geraldine is a wonderful and attentive host. We will definitely be back.

This is a cozy, lovely home situated among cherry and olive trees as well as vineyards. The village of Lourmarin, full of cute restos, is a 5-minute walk down a country lane--close enough to enjoy everything but far enough away to avoid the packed market days. The kitchen is very well-equipped, but the surprise hit for us was the wood-burning oven in the glass pool pavilion. We twice made homemade pizzas with local ingredients as the sun was setting over the hills. Valerie and Alain are wonderful hosts, warm and down-to-earth. We communicated just fine with broken English and French. A total treat: they repeatedly delivered fresh cherries to us as they picked them to sell at the local markets. Insider tip: go to the night market on Wednesday evening, buy a bottle of wine with borrowed glasses from the vineyards, and drink/nosh with the locals. A wonderful atmosphere.

It was just a 3 minute walk into the village, and right next door to a cafe/bakery with great options. Everything from the grounds, to the pool, to our room was perfectly tidy and clean. Romeo, the resident pup, added joie de vivre to each day of our stay.

Lourmarin is a very small village and the apartment is right in the middle of it. The bed was a little soft for me but very luxurious. The place was very clean and the complimentary bottle of local wine was a nice touch. We were lucky that we were able to park right in front of the building.

Excellent gastronomy, with lots of local specialties, ingredients and, of course: wines. Local is perfect, in the heart of the village, and with the sound proofed windows, you can completely redraw from the outside world, if you wish so. The pool at the 2nd property nearby is fantastic, nestled in a nice garden, and a great retreat after a day of excursions.
