Set within a tropical rainforest, this self-catering accommodation is located in the town of Volcano on Big Island, Hawaii. This cottage was the perfect getaway surrounded by beautiful Hawaiian tropical rainforests. It was a 10 minutes drive to Volcanoes National Park entrance. This made it very easy for us to go hiking during the day, go to the cottage for dinner and a rest and then come back to the park at night to watch the eruption and lava fountains. I found it majestic listening to the sounds of the rainforest at night such as frogs, other animals and the rain. But if that's not your style, the owners also provide ear plugs. The kitchen and BBQ facilities were great. If you have a car rental then stop for groceries at Foodland or another big supermarket on the way to Volcano. The owners are so accommodating and lovely with lots of helpful tips. They let us use their laundry facilities for free. This is honestly a rare find, highly recommend booking. The cottage really felt like a home away from home. Thank you Susan and Michael for a wonderful stay.

Situated on half an acre of tropical landscape on the island of Kauai, these individual Hawaii guest accommodations feature fully-equipped kitchens or kitchenettes and ocean and garden views. Everything!!! The kitchen was perfectly equiped, there was so much space and the Terasse was so lovely. Enjoyed my stay to the fullest!

Located in Kihei, 80 metres from Mai Poina Beach and 300 metres from Kalepolepo Beach, Bamboo Suite located across from the beach, 1 Bedroom sleeps 4 offers air conditioning. The property was clean and relaxing inside and out. The pool was great and the location was close to town and right across from the beach. Parking was easy and felt completely safe the entire time. Also communication with Toni was excellent!

Located in Lahaina, 200 metres from Alii Kahekili Beach and 2.6 km from Kaanapali Beach, Honua Kai 322 offers air conditioning. Great location. Beautiful pools...great for families.

Offering garden views, Puolani Iki-Sweet lil cottage near National Park is an accommodation situated in Volcano, 35 km from Pana'ewa Rainforest Zoo and 39 km from University of Hawaii, Hilo. An adorable cottage enclaved in the middle of a fairy-tale rain forest. Cozy and incredibly well equipped. I don't think we've ever stayed at a more generously equipped place. We were surprised at the attention to detail in ever room and were thankful for it all showed the hosts' incredible generosity. There's a ton of books to read on everything Hawaii; wished we would have stayed until we were done reading all the books. The vegetation all around it is just stunning. The unit is squeaky clean and very well kept. Perfect for exploring the volcano area. ,

Situated in Papa Bay Estates and only 32 km from Pu'uhonua o Honaunau National Historical Park, Country Cottage in Papa Bay features accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. Breakfast was not included. The location is a little bit far from tourist attractions in a small quiet village.

1Br 1Ba Kahala Tropical Dream, Pool, Garden View 513, a property with an outdoor swimming pool and a garden, is set in Koloa, 1.1 km from Shipwreck Beach, 1.1 km from Poipu Beach, as well as 29 km... So clean and a great location! Was so great to have a kitchen, washer dryer, and air conditioned room :)

Boasting garden views, The Red Cottage and Hawaiian Pond Garden Paradise! features accommodation with a garden and a balcony, around 16 km from Lava Tree State Monument. There was a record player with old Hawaiian vinyl records that added to the mood, and a gorgeous bathroom that we really appreciated after camping. Even the overhead fan was hand carved to suit the Hawaiian castaway oasis aesthetic. Gilligans Island, eat your heart out. Now you can feel like you have been shipwrecked on a deserted island but with all the luxuries! The open air kitchen was spotlessly clean, with all the amenities and a morning visit by a friendly hen who left us a fresh egg - look under the stove, near the microwave for a breakfast egg delivery!

Set in Koloa, 1 km from Brennecke’s Beach and 1.1 km from Poipu Beach, Updated 1Br 1Ba Condo in the Kiahuna Plantation Resort near Poipu Beach 430 offers a private beach area and air conditioning. Location was great, but availability of of better property maps would’ve been helpful.

Home near Volcano National Park, Hilo, Kehena, a property with a garden and a shared lounge, is situated in Keaau, 19 km from Lava Tree State Monument, 21 km from The Pacific Tsunami Museum, as well... We loved the home, the decor, the sound if the wildlife (frogs & birds). The owner was very helpful & clear with directions and local insights.
