I felt like being at home with my family ready to help me. The owners were so nice that they even drove me daily to the event location. The location is brand new. The place is calm and cozy. If I will ever need to come back to Vila Real, I will definitely book here again.

Casa Da Quinta De S. Martinho is a typical, rustic house of the Trás os Montes countryside. It offers free Wi-fi, a garden pool, and is 200 metres from Mateus Palace. Ines and Paulo were the pefect hosts. Ines couldn't have been more helpful with answering my plentiful questions. Such a congenial couple in a scenic setting, walking distance to the Mateus Palace and major highways. This 17th century property retains all the rustic charm of that era while providing the modern amenities that make the stay comfortable! The other two guest houses on the property with 1-2 bedrooms and baths are simply charming and a good value for families traveling together. The pool looked clean and inviting although we did not take a dip. We loved sitting in the patio!

The breakfast was very delicious. It consisted of an assortement of pastries and typical portuguese foods. The view is simply amazing and breathtaking. The Douro valley vineyards, the pool, the hills, everything was beyond expectations. The pool is lovely and easy to access. The staff was so heplful and lovely! They truly made me feel at home and went above and beyond with their tips and suggestions.

Miracorgo is situated in Vila Real’s historic centre and offers a panoramic restaurant with views of the Corgo River. Breakfast offered was both full English and continental style buffet and provided a lot of choice. The dinner menu was very good but we decided to eat at a local Portugese restaurant. The staff were hospitable and very helpful. The view over teh canyon behind the hotel was spectacular. Parking was secure.
