If you are looking for a place that feels like home search no more. As backpackers, this is our favourite place in Colombia and it is Palomino's hidden gem. It's the kind of place that makes you keep extending - we booked three nights and stayed for two weeks. During our stay in Jaba Jan, we found everything we were looking for. It is 3km to Palomino so the town is always accessible but at the same time you can stay away from the crowds. Not only the place is incredibly beautiful and it is located in a privileged spot, but our stay was absolutely amazing thanks to the people there. The owners, Dean and Jen, are two sweethearts. From day one, they always helped us on everything we needed and made sure that our stay was comfy and truly unique. The common spaces are always filled with a great vibe and people gather up for dinner/lunch in a very familiar way. Also, Dean and Jen prepared very sweet get togethers, like canelazo or sangria nights. The activities offered by the hostel are great. The kayak tour around the mangrove is very special and Dean explains the area in a very detailed way. The environment around the hostel is very nice and wild: the river, the mangrove and the almost private beach next to it are great spaces to chill and have a good time. About the facilities, the rooms are always very clean, they have a sports space that is quite big and equipped, the open showers are super beautiful and the kitchen and common areas have everything you need to for cooking, relaxing and enjoying yourself. The price is very fair for what you get and the food (bkf, lunch and dinner) is delicious. The staff are super friendly and helpful! Couldn't recommend this place more :)

Donama River ligger ca. 1,2 km fra Palomino-stranden og har rolig gadeudsigt samt ferieboliger med balkon. Der er adgang til terrasse og gratis privat parkering. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They kindly did our laundry and neatly folded and bagged ready to be packed for the next location of our travels.

Casa Flor Hostel & Drinks ligger i Ríohacha, 300 m fra Playa de Riohacha, og har bar, fælles opholdsstue og udsigt over den stille gade. Pensionatet har familieværelser. Location. Room. Nice people working there

Apartamento #3 completo en excelente ubicación ligger i Ríohacha i Guajira-regionen og har terrasse. Der er adgang til balkon og gratis privat parkering. Our host Olga was really welcoming and helpful! We've only spent a night there and did not have much time, but in case we would have wanted to cook, the kitchen would have provided us with everything!

Hostal La Finquita ligger ca. 600 m fra Palomino-stranden og tilbyder indkvartering med balkon og pooludsigt. Jui Chi MaMa har haveudsigt og ligger ca. 2,4 km fra Palomino Strand. Overnatningsstedet har fælles køkken, privat ind- og udtjekning samt gratis wi-fi overalt. I really recommend staying at Jui Chi MaMa. The hostel itself is very clean and comfortable with a beautiful and calm garden. However I found there more than just a nice place to stay for a couple of nights. The owners have a great knowlege of the Palomino, it's history and the indegineus people who live around there. German also took us birdwatching - I recommend to you this activity with him, he knows a lot about the birds in Palomino and he is a great guide. Casa Zaida Hostal Vintage ligger i Ríohacha, 800 m fra Playa de Riohacha. Der er have, fælles opholdsstue og udsigt over den indre gårdhave. Der er gratis wi-fi overalt og privat parkering på stedet. This is the cutest and nicest hostel in Colombia, the family who runs it, does it with a lot of heart. We felt very welcomed and really recommend this place!

Glamping Due Amici ligger i Palomino, 1,7 km fra Palomino Strand, og har bjergudsigt, gratis wi-fi og gratis privat parkering. Dette luksustelt har egen pool og have. This is such a lovely place to stay in Palomino. We spend 6 days there and were sad when we had to leave! You have a lot of private space because every tent comes with its own bathroom area including hammocks and a jacuzzi. Also you can sit on the beautiful terrace and work or enjoy the view with a lot of birds. The tents are very cozy and spacious but too hot during the day to spend time there. During the night the temperature falls and the beds are comfy. The staff was great, especially Diana who made sure we have everything we need and gave us good advices for activities. They also varied the breakfast for us and it was very good! The place itself is not on the main street of Palomino but still close to everything and that makes it less noisy during the night. We are very happy we chose the glamping.

Hostal Nibuni Palomino har udsigt til haven og tilbyder indkvartering med have, bar og fælles opholdsstue, ca. 1 km fra Palomino-stranden. Relaxing vibe close enough to everything to be convenient but far enough away from the business of the beach and town! Good value for money with a nice pool and breakfast. Owner was very kind and accommodating; he made us tea when we were unwell and organised the delivery of an item I had left in the room from Palomino to Santa Marta. Highly recommend!

Bella Flor Hostel Palomino ligger i Palomino, halvvejs mellem stranden og hoveddriften. Der tilbydes dejlig have/afslapningsområde samt bjergudsigt. Der er restaurant på stedet. Great staff and good breakfast!
