Ibrahim was very responsive and helped us arrive at the houseboat. He gave us great recommendations for things to do around, and even took us to a few places for shopping. He organized Shikara rides not just for us but also our friends. The houseboat is very well located, very clean and beautiful. It is uniquely positioned on a corner, and thus, we had great view from our bedroom. The room was spacious, well-lit and tidy. We would definitely like to stay there when we are back.

Good and comfortable stay, they have many options of rooms. Food is very good both veg as well as non veg and worth the prices. They have all amenities. Good hotel must visit and enjoy the stay.

The hospitality was awesome. I didn't expect the service but it was beyond my expectations. My overall experience was great in this boathouse.

I had a wonderful stay at Tashkand houseboat during winter season in January 2023. Musa, the houseboat owner, is very helpful and provide very good service. Dinner at Tashkand was our best dining in Kashmir as it's fresh meat, homemade, and no MSG. If you stay here I recommend trying 1 dining at his place. The place is clean and tidy. There's towels and amenities provided. There s no heater in the bedroom but it's replaced with warmed electric blanket which works very well to keep you warm at night, especially in winter. There are free shikara ride across to main road if you paid for shikara ride trip the first or second day. It's a special deal that the houseboat made with shikara riders so you will get the best deal and save money if you get shikara trip. It was the memorable, affordable house boat price. A first class house-boat , second time ( and not the Last ! ) we are staying 5 days at this exceptional and authentic place . Everything ( staff , food , rooms , dining and sitting-room ) is great . The manager , Ajaz , is very helpful and can perfectly organize your stay in Kashmir.

Best place ever, so calm and chilled in the middle of a crowded city. It's very authentic, and it's guaranteed to have an original lake and boat-house experience. I initially booked there for 2 nights and stayed for 8 days. I simply felt very good being there. Firdous - the owner - is just a piece of sugar. He and his family made me feel very welcomed like I'm at home. The internet quality is great (which is a surprise regarding the location) Hot water and good fans. I'll definitely come back again one day, if not for the beauty of kashmir, just for a visit to the boat house and my new uncle Firdous.
