200 metres from Porto Moniz Natural Swimming Pools in Porto Moniz, Studios by Aqua Natura Hotels features accommodation with access to a sauna and hot tub. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Welcoming drinks at the arrival, sparkling wine at the room. Spacious room with huge bed and even bigger pillows. Free access to the natural pools. As pools were too cold for us, we enjoyed the jacuzzi zone on the hotel roof. Breakfast was nice, with many fruit options and a nice view. Good value for money.

Casal da Penha Apartments offers accommodation within 600 metres of the centre of Funchal, with free WiFi, and a kitchenette with a microwave, a toaster and a fridge. Superbly fitted out unit. Well done in providing exceptional apartments. Thank you for your wonderful hosting.

Boasting a rooftop pool and views of mountain, Blue House is a recently renovated apartment situated in Ponta do Sol, 70 metres from Lugar de Baixo Beach. The location is perfect to travel around Madeira with a car (I liked the north and the west much more than the east and Funchal's surroundings). Going western of Ponta do Sol, the traffic is very light compared to Ponta do Sol and towards Funchal. In general, no issue with parking. The pool is great to cool off after a day spent hiking. The room was spacious, really enjoyed how much space I had, had some breakfasts in the balcony when it wasn't too cold. In general the room was really clean.

Situated in Funchal, 1.3 km from Almirante Reis Beach and 300 metres from the centre, Social Lodge - Happiness features air-conditioned accommodation with free WiFi, and a terrace. Everything was perfect. The location is a few minutes away from the center. In the apartment you can find everything you need and there is a lot of space. The host is very friendly and helped me with everything I wanted to know and needed. I totally recommend it with all my heart. There is no private parking but you can let the car on the streets (there are some rules, here I asked the host and I received all the information I needed) or there is a parking place close to the apartment (4.5 euro per day).

The apartment was very clean and had a great view of the ocean. The building had spacious parking, which, for those who rent cars, is crucial, as there was no need to look for a parking spot in the evenings. We were met by a very nice host personally, who gave us a few pieces of advice on which restaurants to visit Everything was perfect.

Everything was more than I could have hopped for. It was so relaxing to hear the nature and just enjoy the moment. Private terrace made sunset watching even more special. I wish we could have stayed longer there
