Awesome location right on the saltwater next to trails. Beautiful sunsets, and only a few minutes into town. Every two rooms shared a very convenient kitchen. The guest rooms were new construction tastefully added to an historic boathouse.

The cabin is very small, but has everything you need and more. You can barbecue, view is even more lovely than in the picture. Bus station is two minutes away, in the area itself is nothing much and by feet a bit far away from everything, so just be prepared for that. A supermarket is couple minutes by bicycle (hosts were willing to lend them) on very safe bicycle road next to main road, which is great! We had a lovely stay and I can imagine to spend more time here.

Huis was ruim en erg schoon. Het enige wat ontbrak was de vaatwasser. Verder prima locatie, met leuke zitjes buiten. Super vriendelijke host.

I could not have asked for much more from my stay here. The hosts and their little family were fantastic, very welcoming and kind individuals. Prior to my arrival there was actually an issue with the water at property and they contacted me to say how sorry they were and that they would try to fix it - which they did in no time! Very accommodating people willing to help. Not to mention the confusing microwave which they helped me with, too! I was only staying here for one night but I wish I had stayed more because the location, the hosts, the lake nearby - it was all just too good. The outdoor shower was something new to me but since the months of using it I have actually found myself seeking out more outdoor showers and cold ones - it is great! There is a small stream that runs alongside the property which is attached to a garage on the land of the main house where the family lives. There are hills either side so you are closed in with the sound of a stream in a very tranquil little valley. Lastly, please go to the lake! It will be worth your while without a doubt. It takes 10 minutes to get there from the property and the sunset is something else!

The Solhem Cabin ligt in Strömstad, op 21 km van Daftöland, en is voorzien van aan het strand accommodatie met een tuin, een terras, een barbecue en gratis WiFi. We had a wonderful time at Solhem. Cozy with old wooden floors, beautiful details and two fireplaces. It really had everything we wanted and the beds were comfortable! The house is located in a residential area without major roads. It was a huge garden. We also liked that there were a new induction hob, stove, fridge and freezer in the kitchen even though it was an old charming interior. There was fast wi-fi and the tv was new, and there was chromecast so we could watch our usual channels. For us who live in an apartment in the city, it is absolutely wonderful to stay in such a charming house and have the large garden. The little beach by the lake was really beautiful and calm and the kids can go there by themselves this summer when we get back.
